  • Area dependent. In my area ramdam ang fluctuation sa speed depende sa oras. In my area, I do not recommend this for business. Smart also has a clause in its user agreement that their Prepaid LTE plans are not for commercial use. I have not read the user agreement of the postpaid.

“Please be advised that on July 3, 2014, the unlimited LTE promo period will end and volume allocation per plan will officially take effect. Starting July 4, 2014, once volume allocation has been consumed, our valued subscribers may opt to purchase additional LTE data packages to continue accessing the internet via the Smart Bro Dashboard or www.smart.com.ph/brodashboard."

And for August, naka-80Gb na ako kaya pala bumagal pag hindi web browsing. Akala ko hindi affected yung mga Smart LTE iPad plans dati. anyway, content pa rin naman ako sa speeds so no complaints. :)
Ilang Gb yung LTE 50, 299 at 995?

awts basahin mo maige pre nasa postpaid page yung sinasabi mo wala sa prepaid..
  • Hello all..

Is it just me.. or is Smart recompressing image files (embedded)? napansin ko kasi laging low resolution images yung nagloload sa browsers ko..

Is there any way to solve this?

    Smart unveils 5G network

    Details Category: Companies
    14Aug2014.
Written by Lorenz S. Marasigan .

THE wireless subsidiary of Philippine Long Distance Telephone Co. (PLDT) is expanding its portfolio of offerings to include the fastest commercial Internet connection to date.

Smart Communications Inc. announced on Thursday that 5G wireless technology LTE-Advanced (LTE-A) is now running in its network, two years after it introduced and deployed its LTE technology in the Philippines.

LTE-A, also referred to as 5G, delivers data between 100 megabits per second (mbps) and 1 gigabit per second (Gbps), or 10 times faster than 3G services and more than twice as fast as 4G technology.

By firing up LTE-A on its network, Smart joins only a handful of carriers around the world with a similar network, along with mobile operators in South Korea, the US, Singapore, Australia and Hong Kong.

“Even as our 3G and 4G networks continue to be unrivaled, Smart becomes the first operator to leap into the future and put the Philippines at par with the world’s most advanced countries in terms of mobile communications technology,” said Orlando B. Vea, founder and chief wireless advisor of Smart.

LTE-A also has the capability to allocate more network resources to users when the need arises.

Smart started testing LTE-A across the country in August last year, delivering results of more than 100Mbps in Makati City, in Boracay, and in Davao City.

Smart and PLDT Spokesman Ramon R. Isberto said the recent development is part of the company’s multipronged approach in addressing the various needs for Internet and data services in the market.

The firm plans to expand its 3G coverage to 100 percent, and extend its LTE reach to about 50 percent from last year’s 27 percent by yearend.
  • ^ same sana ayusin muna nila stability ng existing technology na ginagamit nila hindi yung dagdag ng dagdag which sometimes results in clogging ng mga dapat ayusin.
  • sa akin po:

    RSSI (dBm): -91

    RSRP (dBm): -111

    RSRQ (dB): -14

    SINR (dB): 1

    current speed:
    off-peak download: 20+ mbps
    off-peak upload: 5 mbps
    Signal Strength : 54%
    RSSI :-79 dBm
    ECIO : -5 (RSRQ) dB
    RSCP : -101 (RSRP) dBm

    TIA

anu SINR mu using panel antenna?

when you say dual MIMO panel antenna, dalawa yung panel antenna na gamit mu or isa lang? ang alam ko kasi MIMO naman na talaga yung panel atenna 9dbi gain nga lang.
  • isang panel antenna with 2 cables 9dbi lng nga ang gain.
naka- usbmodem E392/router TL-MR3420 ang gamit ko, dont know how to get SINR
    Tnx
  • Need ba ng new device if we will use LTE-A or upgraded version lang siya ng LTE?

Pagkakaintindi ko kasi, mga router ngayon is up to 150mbps lang. So need na ng new chips for us to utilize LTE-A?
  • @engson

  • @st_anger_711
