  I am also considering adding wool insulation sa ceiling namin kahit may insulation na yung roof. Hindi kinakaya ng roof insulation lang ang init and our room reached 37+ deg at its peak.

  
  
  i'm guessing you have walls na direct hit ng afternoon sun? if so, wag mo na galawin yun current roof insulation mo.

  Long time no post guys. I'm in the process of buying 4 to 5 ac units for my soon to be finished house. Any feedbacks on the newer models for 2024 of major brands like LG and Samsung (Windfree)? I'm still leaning towards Daikin D smart Queen since I have great experience with that model that I bought back in 2019. I've tried Gree for window type, TCL and Unitech for split types and I'm also fairly satisfied with them. Anyone bought newer models I mentioned above and care to share you're experience with them.

  Hindi sir. Di ko rin kase masyadong bet yung whirlybird style na ventilation. Meron akong nakita yung solar exhaust fan na mas ok yung aesthetic sa taas ng roof which I consider in the future.

  Hindi sir. Morning sun lang ang mga walls. Yung isang kwarto ang afternoon sun. Mainit kase naka close ang room maghapon since nasa sala namin ang work PC ko where is usually stay the whole day pag nasa work si misis.
  Literal na hindi ko inoopen ang mga windows and doors during the day unless may kukunin lang sa room. Kaya yung init nakukulob talaga. May mga indoor pets kase kami kaya ayaw namin iwanang naka open ang door. Baka dun pa sila sa kwarto magkalat. Pang prevent na rin ng pagpasok ng dust. Kaya monthly lang ako naglilinis ng filter kase ang konti lang ng accumulated dust.

  pero napapaisip pa rin ako kasi halos sarado palagi lahat ang mga windows namin pero hindi umaabot ng ganyan ang ambient temps with the help of the ceiling insulation. imagine around 7AM ako nagpatay ng AC then pag open ko ulit ng AC around 11 or 12 high noon,,, around 28~30°C lang ang ambient ko sa bedroom kahit 35~36°C na sa labas(heat index na halos 40°). baka nga may problema sa roof insulation mo.

  Same tayo, may indoor pets rin kami kaya parating sarado lahat ng doors sa amin. Kaya kulob talaga yung init. Even yung kitchen namin na nasa ground floor, sobrang init kasi sarado yung door papasok doon. Mainit kahit may window na open. So balak ko magpa kabit ng aluminum screen door para may air circulation from the living room going to the kitchen.
  
  Yung ceiling insulation will have a positive effect. Yung master bedroom dito meron nang additional layer of insulation and mas mababa talaga yung ambient temp niya compared to the other rooms. So balak ko lagyan na ng additional layer sa buong second floor namin to help with the heat. Kaka parepaint ko rin ng roof 2 months ago so no-go ako talaga sa reflective roof paint. Maybe sa next repaint which is in 2-3 years. Beige yung roof ko so hindi naman dark color pero mainit pa rin talaga.

  Ang nakikita kong culprit is medyo mababa ang slope ng roof namin. Shed style sya. Yung lower slope eh parang nasa 25-30cm lang ang pagitan ng ceiling at roof insulation. And i think one sided lang ang foil ng pe foam na nilagay. Tapos 2 large windows din ang room na morning sun parehas. Kaya plan ko latagan ng rockwool foam ang ibabaw ng ceiling namin. Yung 37 once palang naman nangyare. Madalas 34-36 lang yung max.

  Anong foam ginamit nyo additional layer sir? Kung alam ko lang sana yung rockwool nung pina renovate namin ang bahay yun nalang sana pinalagay ko noon.

  with a 35k max budget ano ang ok na 1.5hp split type inverter ac? out na ang panasonic with nanoe-x at daikin queen and king since out of budget ko na

  nasaan na ba to ito pala and need ko gawin 2 months pa lang after cleaning eh parang may bagyo na sa room namin lage.

  ^depends sa quality of materials and construction ng accordion type door na gagamitin. pero kung ako, sa long lasting solution na with a flush door. prone to breakage pa ang accordion(PVC?) door imho.
  

  
  
  @statix yes nakapag decide na ako na mag pakabit na lang ng alum glass sliding door para isang bagsakan na lang ng gastos, you are right kaysa bumili ako accordion that I know na mapataas lang bill ko ng kuryente dahil hindi properly sealed yung room and not a good investment to start with…
  
  But still torn in between Daikin D Smart series @ 33K vs Gree GW12 @29599 both have free installation.
  
  Any suggestions what do I have to miss by choosing one over another?
