Help for my MSI CX420

Hello TPC,

I have 2 problems with my MSI CX420

SPECS:
Proc : i5-430m
GPU : ATI Mobility 5470
Ram : 2gb ddr3
OS : Windows 7 Pro 64bit.

1. Freezes then Shutdown after Intel HD Graphics is installed. Pero ok naman pag disable ko siya ung Intel HD Driver. Im currently running in VGA right now.

2. I can\'t detect the ATI Mobility 5470 of my laptop. Tried the latest driver from MSI site. Tapos nitry kona ung manufacturer CD driver. Wala madetect. Even downloaded AMD tools for auto detect of gpu pero wala padin.

Any thoughts?

na try mo ba i-check sa BIOS na kung anong graphics yun naka-enable, baka kasi naka-enable yun graphics ng core i5 at naka disable yun ATI... about BSOD, anong scenario as if during nag games ka ba ng BSOD? also sa pagpili ng drivers, dapat yun 64-bit driver yun piliin mo sa website...

Sorry for the super late reply. Sumuko na kasi ako sa laptop na to pero ngayon ulet lang ako sinipag ulet ayusin kasi sayang.

1. Wala po ako makitang any options na enable/disable ung graphics.

2. Hindi po siya nag BSOD. Freeze siya then biglang shutdown.

try mo on safe mode (press F8 during start up). kapag ok baka driver problem lang.

up for this my friend have cx420 i3 graphicsdriver problem once instaled the driver and restart no display pero pag safe mode ok sya, panu ang proper installatin ng vcard driver pa help TY

It's a common problem for CX420. Try SST Laptop repair in malls, they can provide a temporary fix for the problem. But then again, the ATI switchable graphics of this unit is faulty.
