Gusto ko na Mag-GYM / Workout (2)

    astig ung mga rides mo ngayon, lagi ako nasilip dun sa MTB thread, grats.


    Ang totoo nyan sa experience ko maghihilahan ang gym training at cycling training in terms of recovery kung lagi ka nag 100-200km a week. Paano ko lalaki kung wala ka time makarecover diba. Pero I'm not talking in absolutes, since you are a lot younger than me baka iba ang maging experience mo at kayanin mo ung recovery. Try it and see what happens, if you observe the same thing, dial you rides down a notch or two.


    Ang advice ko sa iyo is get your nutrition in order. Ito ang isa sa big factor na always almost over looked. Kung gusto mo talaga lumaki kailangan mo din kumain ng madami. Lean meat, eggs, fish, chicken, etc. Hold off muna upgrades at maglaan ka ng budget sa pagkain, sama mo na whey at multivit.

    try mo ito para magkaroon ka ng idea kung gaano kadami calories ang kailangan mo kaiinin para lumaki. Look at the maintenance number then add 500 that is what you need to eat to grow.

  • ^ Thanks. I'm now researching on max-ot. Just like before I discovered 5x5, I'm doing 8 reps on compound exercises. So I might bump it down to 5 or 6. Tama ka anlaki ng role ng diet or food intake sa body building. And yes tama ka ule, di talaga pwede pagsabayin ang gym training at cycling and expecting to excel on both. Ngayong tumitira ako ng 100kms almost every weekend, nagiging pang-siklista na ang physique ko. Nung kinarir ko naman last year yung SL 5x5, yes nag-gain ako ng muscle pero hindi ko naman maakyat yung Timberland ng walang dismount. I'll fiddle around w/ my weight lifting program na pasok sa weekend activity ko. And I think I would really forget about the squats since hindi talaga sya nakatulong sakin sa cycling. I'll just let cycling every weekend do the workout on my legs.

    Now, should I stop/lessen isolation exercises for my arms and just concentrate on compound exercises? O pwede ba yung kahit isang isolation exercise lang bago lumabas ng gym?
