Hi all...
I have been using my NEO B2161n laptop for 2 years. I was afraid to buy it nung una kasi hindi ko alam na may nag-eexist na ganitong brand pero due to budget constraint I decided to buy it nalang. Sabi naman kasi nung binilhan kong shop sa Gilmore, oks na oks ang NEO. So far, this laptop didn't gave me any headache...super reliable...I use it everyday for more than 12 hrs and hindi siya umiinit ng sobra unlike other brands (I have an HP laptop pero hindi ko magamit ng masyadong matagal kasi umiinit talaga ng sobra). Siguro ang pinakamabigat ko nang problem dito is yung batt because it lasts for roughly an hour pero eversince ganun na yung performance nung batt. Natapunan na once yung keyboard nito with water akala ko hindi na magagamit pero tinaob ko lang siya ang I let it dry for 2 days and ayun working na ulit...I don't know if ma-ingat lang ako sa paggamit nito pero I think matibay talaga siya.
I'm so much satisfied with this laptop...hehe...hindi lang maganda yung itsura niya, sobrang simple ng design...nilagyan ko nalang ng APPLE sticker sa likod...haha...

Any will do, pero note that the Empriva M54SE has a licensed Windows XP Pro bundled with it. Kung konti lang difference, go for it.

Since dito pala ang thread ng Neo dito na lang ako magtatanong :D
Ahm I'm planning to buy the Elan 2270... here are the specs, from the Neo site:
Intel® Core™ 2 Duo processor technology
Intel® Core™ 2 Duo Processor T6500
2 MB L2 cache, 2.1 GHz, 800 MHz FSB
SiS M671DX + SiS 968
2 GB DDR2
nVidia GeForce G105M (512 MB VRAM)
15.6" HD Widescreen LCD (16:9)
2 x High Fidelity Internal Speakers
320 GB SATA
DVDRW SuperMulti
10/100 Mbps LAN
802.11 b/g
7-in-1 Card Reader
1.3 MegaPixels
Bluetooth®
6-cell Lithium-ion Battery
~ 2.7 kg
Question po: Do you think these specs would be enough to run Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator smoothly, even if I run them simultaneously? Or mag iinit na siya ng husto if I did?
Also, is there a good laptop cooler you know of and could recommend? :D
Thanks everyone~

All in all, the whole package looks good, but I have reservations on that SiS chipset. With a 3D GPU in that laptop, expect heat.
And you don't need a laptop cooler. Although I have one here at home, in the office I simply scrounge a book to raise the laptop's rear 1 to 2 inches.

@all

^Try checking for viruses once in a while, clearing internet caches, emptying recycle bins, backing up then deleting unneeded files, and compressing your hard drive. But, in any case, di mo lang nahahalata, pero napupuno ang hard drive na di mo namamalayan dahil sa paggamit.
Reformat is a last resort.

My Empriva was loaded with Windows Vista when I bought it. But I opted for WinXP because I believe it'll be faster (since, back then, Vista has plenty of bloatware)--old OS in a new machine, so why not? Though, one day, I'll upgrade to Windows 7, but that's when I upgrade my hard drive.
In any case, go for Win7 if you upgrade. Don't worry, it'll be okay. That machine, I guess a Core 2 Duo 2+ GHz, will do. But add memory because 4GB is needed for a fast Win7.

There is no ded vid card so games will not perform well. I bought it for simulation purposes, labs such as gns3 etc.. so far, C2D loads faster than my desktop (E2200) hehe
@kenshinflyer_2
thanks bro. Im just concerned if drivers will work. kasi nakalagay sa cd is for vista/win7 only, hehe pero I admit mabilis din ang win7 (trial version installed)

Ayoko gumamit ng laptop cooler kasi after 1 year puro alikabok na iyan sa loob. Pag naka aircon 2 years madumi na yan sa loob. Pag smoker ka mas marumi at mahirap linisin.

satisfied user of a Neo B2165 for more than a year now, bought here in TPC.o baka swertihan lang talaga ng unit. kahit 24 hours naka-on ok lang. kanya nga lang nung nagkaroon ako ng orig na Win 7 Pro, 32-bit lang ginamit ko kasi di ako sure kung may makukunan akong 64-bit drivers, ang meron lang kasi sa Neo website ay Xp/Vista 32-bit. :(
