For the first time I tried accessing yung RAM bay ng NEO Empriva ko, na malapit lang sa may CPU at CPU fan. I took the chance to remove the black plastic sticker na tumatakip sa air vent. Now, my lappie runs much cooler...

Akala ko nadale na ang USB 2.0 ports ng Empriva ko. I was able to narrow it down to a faulty mouse, dahil OK naman ang mga USB modem at thumb drive ko. I hope so...

^You can use the standard drivers for your WiFi. Ganun din sa akin noon, kaya hindi ko ma-activate yung Wifi. If yours is from Intel, go check Intel's website.

Nasa gumagamit lang yan, sir. Before I got a new desktop system, I used to run my NEO Empriva 540 NVP2i 24/7 as a t*rrent rig.
As for overheating, yes, I had those cases until may tinanggal lang akong plastic na nakatakip sa air vent. Now mine runs considerably cooler than before.

^Some of the NEO laptops are made by Clevo, the same guys who makes the powerful Sager laptops.
Some guys give NEO laptops a bad rap because they whine about them giving up in a few months, but, so far, mine is still working. And I used to run that thing 24/7 as a t*rrent rig before I got a desktop. I bought mine in 2007--it's 2010 and I haven't got any serious problems. I only brought my unit to the dealer for a check-up and a BIOS upgrade.
I know I'm raising hell on the brandname fanboys right now, but that's my experience.
BTW, there's another NEO at home--my Mom's. It's slow, but that's because of a virus attack. She bought hers in 2006, and it still works. I also used to run that 24/7.
EDIT: The only Achilles' heel on NEO laptops is the battery. It's a deplorable 1 1/2 hours on average. But since my purpose is for office use, I learned to live with it--I have a 3G-enabled phone, anyway, for surfing the Net on the go.

Wow, medyo madami pala naka-Neo laptops dito. Nice to know I'm not the only one . =D
I got my Neo Empriva 540 NVP2 somewhere around March or April 2007 and I'm proud to say that despite all the abuse I put it through it's still kicking. Now if only the stupid CMOS battery was user-replaceable <sigh>. @ albertekiz - Thanks for the tip on bringing Neo laptops in for a check-up/cmos battery replacement at a Neo center along w/ the weblink as well. Much appreciated! =)

Try checking fixya.com, search "neo m54g". May info dun. Kaya lang, you have to manually download them.

If it's a high definition audio driver you're looking for try the realtek website. It's a generic driver for Win7 32 bit. It installed on my laptop but I haven't restarted yet so can't tell for sure if it works.
Edit- Re-booted my laptop and everything seems fine. Can't test the SPDIF output because I don't have a component but the driver installed properly and the speakers and headphone jack work. Hope this helps.
