PLDT DSL plan 990

  • Still using the plan 990 in our house. Usage only facebook and youtube. thats it. Pero baka pag umuwi na ako for good, mapalitan na. My Mom who is turning 75yo is complaining that its real slooooow. hehe
  • Do it as soon as you can, baka mawalan ka ng slot sa box :) at mag intay.
  • sa tita ko, napilitan na sila upgrade to plan 1299; kasi ba naman 5mbps DL/1mb UL na lang siya. good for 2-3users na light usage lang, youtube and fb kaya pa pero mostly buffering na din.
  • I might not upgrade. Might change provider nalang siguro.
  • ^ gawin nyo na ASAP kasi nauubos ung slot pag FTTH.
    Kmi before halos 1yr nag antay bago napalitan from DSL to Fibr dahil no slot ung mga box nearby.

    Pero napag-iwanan na ng iba. Wala man lang free speed upgrade, still 1mbps...

    Nawalan ng dial tone since start ng June and until now hindi mafix. Pinupush nila na magfibr na lang, pero wala namang 990 sa fibr.
    Planning to disconnect very soon. Will try wireless internet na lang for my Mom.
  • Yun kapitbahay namin 990 pa rin pero free upgrade to fiber kasi parang nagloko ang copper sa buong street. Gusto ata palipat na sila sa fiber haha

    They only offer Fibr.

    What I know right know is those under DSL is upgraded to Fibr,
    either pure fiber (fiber connection all the way to your home),
    or vdsl (fiber from central office to distribution box near your community, then copper wire to your home).

    Kapag masipag naman po ung agent nyo, at marami kayong nag-aapply, possible na magawan ng paraan yan.
    Try to inquire na lang din sa mga kilala nyong agent kung anong options ang available sa lugar nyo.

    At the time din kasi na nag-apply ako ng Fibr, walang available din sa amin, up to the point na nasira na ung DSL facilities dito sa street namin, then they decided to move our community to Fibr. Medyo malayo ung pinaghugutan ng connection ko, pero so far mas less interruption/issue compare sa DSL/Copper. If meron man, kayang maresolved within 2-4hours, except if LOS or kung naputol ang fiber cable.

    previously ganyan din sa parents house ko, pero plan dsl 999 5Mbps. nung nagkaron ng pldt fibr, pinalipat lang namin. same pa rin bayad 999 at speed. ang nabago lang is upload speed naging 5Mbps din. retain din yung landline number. tapos after a year cguro nag change na sila sa plan 1299 since natuto na sila mag ipad, mas mura kasi compared dati na 999 + 700 landline. hanggang ngayon plan 1299 pa rin sila.

  • I opted na to have it permanently disconnect.
    my mom dont use landline, and working naman ung Dito sa place niya.

    Medyo pahirapan magpaterminate, June 16 ako initial nagrequest, pero ngayon lang naclosed.
    Buti na lang at may repair ticket ako since June 5 (na inamin nila na hindi nila kayang ifix), kaya madaling nai-waved ung mga bills.
    Nung una kasi, nirequired akong bayaran ung July SOA before nila i-terminate, pero sabi ko, ano babayaran ko kung walang service naman and i included NTC consumer welfare sa email.

  • Also on DSL990 but going 3 months na not working. Upon follow up sinasara ng pldt yun repair ticket even if not yet repaired. Once lang bumisita pldt linesman (more accurately a 3rd party contractor) but di niya maayos. Naka 5 repair tickets na kami kasi sinasara nila yun luma. Currently as a stop gap using a router using gomo sim.

    Any suggestions how I can move on? The landline is used everyday but I can live without it if necessary. I dont mind migrating to fibr but im not sure that will solve my problem and pldt never offered it (altho we have fibr in the area). Alternatives available are globe and converge. Unfortunately all their plans are more expensive and talking to neighbors are also unstable.

    Ive been 15 years pldt client. I would like to stick to pldt but open to moving to another provider. Libis QC area. Any help and suggestions appreciated. TIA.
  • Keep all the lists of your tickets as proof na hindi ma-fix.
    Everytime na tumatawag ako sa PLDT CS, I always record for future reference (Based on several experiences, pabago-bago sila ng sinasabi)

    Write a letter to [email protected] (this is the email for Special Account management),
    copy (cc:) [email protected] (this is the email of NTC for consumer welfare dept),
    State your case, and your request.

    Tuloy pa din ba monthly bills and payments mo despite of not having service?

    Thank you for the excellent advise. I will write immediately email to SAM and cc NTC. Hopefully this gets me results.

    I have kept a record of all the repair reference numbers. And you are also correct pabago-bago excuses nila everytime I call to follow up. The new recent excuse now is that I have a pending 400 pesos overdue that I have now to settle before they will even act on the problem. Trying to talk common sense to the CSR is like talking to a blank wall. The overdue 400 pesos is for reversal because over 2 months na wala internet.
  • on my case na ipapaputol ko na ung plan990, ang sabi kelangan ko daw bayaran ung 990 for that month before putulin.
    sabi ko, bakit ko babayaran eh hindi sya nagamit at may ticket ako stating na hindi na kayang marepair ng tech nila.
    then nag-agree na, at magpapadala daw ng email at need to fill out the request + attached ID.

    ayun, boom. nilagay pa din dun na need isettle ung 990, hindi sinabi kung for what month (despite clarifying my case), hinihingi ang resibo na paid na un.
    i requested itemization nung 990, then tumawag uli ako saying na i am recording the call as reference to my complaint to NTC.
    i always cc: NTC moving forward.
    until I got the last call confirming that account is not closed AND i confirmed with them that I have no more financial or legal responsibility to that account.

    Thanks to my phone that has auto recording, I still keeping the recording as proof if in case may dumating na demand letters.
    (i experienced it with my wife's account - we closed the acct, outside lockin period, paid all remaining balances, then suddenly after 3 years, may dumating na demand letter from a certain law office - buti na lang at natabi namin ang receipt, and replied to them to stop harassing us).

    Keep your receipt for your final bill, keep your recording on the confirmation that account is closed and no financial obligation.

    I'm ok naman with pldt, siguro lang dun sa place ng mom ko ung issue with their facilities.
    In my house naman, more than 8 years na kami with pldt, ok naman ang services.
