  • Bought mine last month, here\'s my feedback on it:

    - I was alarmed by the high response time by BenQ but decided to go with it anyway since LED monitors have really good color reproduction. Doesn\'t really matter to me. The display is definitely better than using a mid-performance laptop from 7 years back.
    - When I looked for reviews, I came up short. I decided to take a gamble anyway after reading some articles on LED monitors.
    - So I decided to read on how much the response time actually matters. Turns out the sweet spot is 13ms! Source: http://www.livescience.com/42666-human-brain-sees-images-record-speed.html
BenQ has a 14ms response time, so it\'s (almost) right on point with the human eye perception
    - some people are turned off by the black bezel surrounding the screen (it\'s quite sizeable!), but it\'s barely noticeable unless you really focus on it.
    - I made the msitake of trying to peel off the plastic covering in the gray area of the monitor, now it has a noticeable flaw. :( But that was my own miss. When gaming I don\'t notice that anyway, only during casual browsing
    - During installation I thought my motherboard or the monitor wasn\'t working since no display was being shown! Turns out I have to change the setting from DVI to HDMI (since I was using the HDMI cable)! Silly me for skipping instructions

  • nakita ko sa response time:

The response time here is Tr+Tf (the total of Rise Time and Fall Time), GTG (Gray to Gray) is a different average and can measure quite a bit lower than the Tr+Tf time on the same set.

So as per the specification of GW2450HM , the 14ms Tr+Tf of VZ2250h can measure as 4.6-5ms GTG.

baka eto na din bilihin ko...
  • Got the VS229NA dahil walang stock yung BenQ. Meron agad dead pixel out of the box
Picture quality wise okay naman, nothing special since VA panel lng naman to, hindi IPS(which is nkalagay sa receipt ng PCHub na IPS daw)
So far so good aside from the dead pixel. Screen comes in a matte finish(anti-glare).

First time ko mag replace ng monitor after ng 10 years Samsung TN monitor ko so di ko m compare sa ibang monitor within the same price bracket.
  • Just bought the benq vz2250h.. is it just me or does anyone else find the black levels of this monitor depressing?
  • i had color problems din with benQ VZ2250 pero after doing some research, HDMI problem pala.

Kaso nag-aalala ako sa response time.

    Thanks TPC :)
  • tested it with high settings using HDMI in arma 3, mass effect 3, skyrim (heavily modded) and ghost warrior so far ok naman no ghosting, or other problems. i am thoroughly enjoying this versatile monitor. :)

Ang BenQ VZ series na walang HM sa model name (like VZ2250 and VZ2350) walang kasamang AMA or Advanced Motion Acceleration. So in other words walang overdrive ang panel so 14ms GTG yung pixel response times niya. Ang BenQ VZ2350HM model ang may AMA so pixel response time niya umaabot ng 5ms GTG.

Hindi naman ganun kasama ang 14ms GTG response times kasi what it means is kaya ng pixels mag refresh at around 71 fps. So kung ang game mo naman is running at 60 fps and below chances are hindi mo masyado mapapansin ang ghosting during the middle of gameplay... unless sensitive ang eyes mo sa ghosting.

So kung maglalaro ka ng mga action adventure games, or RPG type games, at hindi mga fast action FPS tulad ng CS:GO hindi naman siguro noticeable gaano ang ghosting :-)

Ang most affordable monitor at 22-inches na decent for gaming is the BenQ GW2255. Pixel response times niya is 5ms GTG and very responsive siya with only 12ms of input lag. Pero AMVA panel ang gamit niya (not IPS) at medyo old school ang hitsura with wide bezels.

Sir, ang hilig ko kasi ay racing games so medyo importante sa akin ang lower response time. Mar-recommend nyo po ba yung mga refurbished na S2240L/S2340L? Kahit papano kasi sana gusto ko maka-IPS without sacrificing the response time. Di na kaya mag-VC239H. :)

Although mas mura sila, may risk na baka masira or bumigay yung monitor after ng warranty period so pag-isipan mo din maigi kung willing ka to take the risk. Pero alam ko mga bumili ng refurbished na Dell monitors satisfied naman sila as long as magandang unit ang napili nila.
  • @sleepygeepy

I mean kung may issues man, makita ko na kaya agad yon within 1 week?
  • @kerv1n_

It could be after 1 month, 3 months, 1 year maybe longer. Hindi talaga natin masabi kaya andun yung risk when buying second hand.

Yung warranty period niya is 1 month so at least mas matagal ng konti. Dati siyang seller dito sa TipidPC but mukhang nabura lahat ng IFS niya during the upgrade.

Ako personally, kung kaya mo afford ang brand new... go brand new na para may peace of mind ka sa warranty. Although matibay naman ang Dell monitors kaya mabenta din siya even as refurbished items.
  • up ko to plan ko din bumili ng benq vz2250h
