May pagasa pa ba?

  • 3 years na syang sira. Thanks.

You removed the top cover and exposed the internal components?

No saving that drive if you did.
  • So wala na talagang pag asa? Nakakasad. Pero nababasa pa din sya. Wala na talaga? Haha ang kulit ko. Baka may makakatulong pa dyan. Parang di naman kasi nabagsak yun.
  • If the capacity is mis-identified, it\'s generally a problem with the drive\'s logic board. Some suggest connecting the logic board from another drive that\'s the exact same model as yours, but it\'s not that simple.

good as trash.... HDD manufacturers only open HDD on a clean room meaning only 1000 dust particles is allowed. isa pa vacuum sealed yan, most likely nag moist na yan at nag oxide na yung platters nya sa loob.
  • Osige na nga. Mag move on na ako. Tabi ko na lang sya sa baul ko. Memories~ haaay.
  • May Drive sya makikita like Drive D or E or what ever pero di mo ma access?

Parang may ganyan me dati na recover ko using Stellar software ba yun nakalimutan ko na name.

it\'s not actually vacuum sealed, that\'s why meron breathing holes yung drive, if that drive is sealed tight or vacuum sealed. the platter will not be able to spin that fast not even as fast as 1000rpm. Drive spinning as fast as 7200rpm needs a breathing hole due to pressure generated by that spinning disc.

and even if a dust particle managed to get inside, it will just sprayed away by a ultra fast spinning platters, hindi makaka patong yan. and also oxidation is least of your concern since meron anti-oxidation ang mga HDD doon sa breathing holes nya so oxidation is least of your worries.

so the only thing that will fail on the drive is mostly the mechanical parts mostly the mechinical part of actuation arm or head failure, the magnetic disc still handle the files stored on it and can be recovered by professional data recovery companies. kaya ginagawa nila madalas dyan is i-transplant yung platter to a good one, and start recovering the data.

all of them ginawa nila yun to recover the hdd
may pinalitan silang parts para umandar

yung nakuha naman nila ang mga files
kaso ALL of them the following day hindi na magamit yung hdd
good as recovered lang mga files

Ayun may pag asa pa pala marecover. Thanks. :)
