  • for Prepaid Wireless Modem (Sun, Smart, Globe)?

all of them have caps, specially Globe and Sun, sa Smart naman pag na detect ng system nila na downloader ka, babagal na lang speed mo at kailangan pa itawag sa hotline nila para maalis yungspeec cap sayo.

for Plan 999 DSL (PLDT, BayanTel, SKy Cable, Etc.)?

PLDT or Bayantel for DSL connection mas preffered.

paki-educate na din ako regarding sa PLDT Plans, nakakalito kasi eh

Bundle plans are bundled with phone and DSL, sa ibang plans like high speed plans you need to add 600 pesos at the top of the internet plans like plan 999 3mbps, add ka pa 600 for phone kasi hindi ka pwede kabitan ng DSL pag walang phone, bawal naked line sa DSL. OF course avoid speedster plans since you said it for your self, downloader ka.
  • except for one capped fiber/dsl plan, all pldt dsl/fibr plans are not capped

congestion and traffic shaping meron though. But those are better than capping. so avoid those 2 if heavy downloader/uploader ka

In general go for wired plans. More stable

sir example po ng plan? gusto ko sana ung unli

Home Bro Plan 999 Up to 2 Mbps

Home Ultera Plan 999 Up to 10 Mbps
at 1GB per day (Total of 30GB per month)

ask ko na din ano mas ok sa dalawa?
ung 1GB per day yan ung cap po?
  • @GayDarvinRomero

May cap ang PLDT Home DSL Speedster Plan 999, 50GB/month. Not recommended if you\'re a heavy downloader.

Kung up to 2k/month ang budget mo for the DSL and landline (which is required for PLDT DSL), go for the regular Plan 999. Up to 3Mbps, no cap. Around 1,700 ang babayaran mo monthly (999 + a bit below 700 for the landline).

Di ganun kabilis pero true unli yan, kahit 24/7 kang mag-download di ka mamumublema.
  • I have pldt plan 1299 fibr. fibr plans 999 and 1299 are unofficial plans so some PLDT employees may deny that they exist and they are not on the official website.

I have had pldt dsl plan 999 since the year 2000 or so and through one change in address, until I switched to fibr.

I can recommend pldt dsl or fibr, with the caveat of some traffic shaping and assuming walang problem sa area mo. Go to their respective threads to know more about the traffic shaping
  • @AmalgamvsAloof

I can recommend pldt dsl or fibr

^ +1. Unless wala talagang facilities ang PLDT sa area, I won\'t recommend any other service over those two.

I\'ve been a loyal PLDT DSL subscriber for around 15 years now. Started with myDSL Pro, 3k/month, 256kbps, haha. Those were the days.

Far from perfect ang PLDT, dami ko ring na-experience na problema with them. Longest outage sa bahay umabot ng almost 1 month. Pero mula nung nag-upgrade to NGN sa area namin last year (yup, nahuli sa amin), wala na kaming na-experience na interruption (knock on wood). Now getting a consistent 8.3Mbps, Telpad Plan 4100.
  • all clear thanks again guys for helping me
