So students po kami na linapitan for a project ng isang bar ng relative namin. Dumadami na kasi customers at nahihirapan na sila magrecord at magaccount ng purchases together with inventory. So nagpapagawa sila ng Point of Sale samin. So ang hanap po nila Point of sale system, alam ko naman maraming IT/IS professionals sa forums so hihingi po ako ng pointers.

Usually po kasi written in PHP ang POS pero OOP development kami mas bihasa. So C++ and Java ang language na gagamitin namin. Walang internet connection sa bar so gagawin naming standalone na magrurun sa JVM. Seasoned java developers na po kami so we have the planning and designing phase na kami. A few legal and technical questions po meron kami. Aware naman po ako na usually kailangan pa namin kumuha ng consultant for these questions and syempre may price so nagbabakasakale lang kami ng makukuha namin ito for free? Thanks!

Few parts of planning:

1. System will be run on Linux. OpenSuse na modified po yung distribution to our needs. So stripped down po siya tapos halos yung Point of sale lang talaga use niya.

2. Simple lang yung purchasing sa business. In and out lang tapos may mga tab syempre at table tracking.

3. Menu items auto-deduct sa inventory since measured lahat naman recipes.


Questions:

1. The bar already has a TIN so do we have to register our system sa BIR? How long is the process?

2. Ano po yung price range na pwede ko sabihin sa client na all in na kasi transportation will be expensive since sa Baler yung area.

3. Specs? We want something that would last po na it won\'t run laggy. Syempre whole day yan naka-on tapos syempre mainit dahil malapit sa beach and open yung area.

4. What are the things we should know to make this project as professional as possible po. I\'ll be giving a business proposal too.
