Macbook air (2008 model) won`t work without charger plugged in

  hi guys im miko 23 from manila i have my macbook air 2008 model . need help for that my macbook air won`t work without chager plugged in while using it.. then if you remove the charger it automatically shut down .when you use it while the charger plugged in it still the battery is charging. please help me . what should i need to do? thank you

  Maybe your batt is already defective

  it still charging but i cannot use it without the charger . then if i disconnect the charger to macbook air it will turning off

  Laptop batteries lose capacity over time. With a laptop that old, it\'s not surprising.
  
  The circuitry inside the battery may have developed a fault and is incorrectly reporting the charge % and/or capacity.
  I\'ve encountered batteries with similar issues.
  
  It\'s also possible that part of the laptop\'s power circuits is damaged/
  
  What you need to do is test it with a new or working battery.
