Guys, tanong ko lang. Meron kasi kong i5 and i7 na procie pero hindi ko alam kung 1st, 2nd, 3rd, or 4th gen. Pangkalahatang tanong ko na sa mga generation. Pano mo malalaman sa nakasulat sa procie mo kung anong gen un procie mo? tsaka may nababasa pa kong LGA1150, LGA1155, etc.. and Ivy bridge, haswell, etc.. Pwede pong paki enlighten ako sa mga bagay na un? Galing kasi kong AMD kaya wala akong alam sa mga ganun. Maraming salamat po sa mga makakatulong.

I guess this might work for their desktop lineup.
1st gen - Nehalem is i3-xxx i5-xxx i7-xxx
Socket 1156
2nd gen - Sandy Bridge is i3-2xxx i5-2xxx i7-2xxx
Socket 1155
3rd gen - Ivy Bridge is i3-3xxx i5-3xxx i7-3xxx
Socket 1155
4th gen - Haswell/refresh is i3-4xxx i5-4xxx i7-4xxx
Socket 1150
Note that 1st gen has 3 numbers while 2nd gen onward has 4 numbers with the first digit depicting their generation.
Sandy Bridge and Ivy bridge also fits in the same socket.
Example would be i3-2100 which means Sandy Bridge i3-2100 for socket 1155
