Pldt Zyxel ZyXEL P-660HN-T1(how to add wireless router)

  • disable dhcp sa new router mo

    ...
  • First, configure your Router so that DHCP is disabled...

Once configured and DHCP is disabled...

Do NOT use the WAN Port of the router.

Use any of the LAN port to connect it to the PLDT DSL modem.

This connection/configuration allows your Asus router to act as an AP(Access Point). That way, there will be no conflicts in IP addresses, specially if you have a printer and file sharing setup at home.

DONE!

-applicable only pag yung wireless router mo lang yung gagamitin. otherwise, follow the steps above

    Thread resurrection jutsu

Incomplete yung guide mo, hindi gagana yan

Notice to all users of Zyxel P660HN-T1A crap modem.

After talking with my cousin he gave me 20mins of internet downtime so I can test bridge mode on it.

    <click here for link>

Refet to this PDF guide for switching to bridge mode; I have tested it personally and it works!

    Summary
Go to Page 34 of the PDF manual

    Set a static IP of
    192.168.1.100
    255.255.255.0
    192.168.1.1

    login to 192.168.1.1

    adminpldt
    1234567890

Do the steps on page 38

    Bridge
    RFC1483

    VPI 0
    VCI 100

    Save

Now this is where it differs from the usual bridge mode.

    Step 1 Disable Wifi
    Step 2 Disable DHCP server
Step 3 Set LAN IP to 192.168.1.1
Step 4 remove all LAN devices
    Step 5 Save and reboot
Step 6 connect LAN cable to Wifi Router WAN(Any port from Modem will do)

Do not connect additional devices or remove this connection between the Modem and the Wifi Router, you'll lose connection and have to restart it.

If you're not convinced I can post an image of the Zyxel P660 t1a+screenshot in the GUI with IP address.

With sir motion55's guide for flashing the Prolink 5004n and my post for setting this to bridge mode, There is no longer a need to replace modems.
