I think the biggest and the most glaring difference between Lebron and
Jordan are the EXPECTATIONS and not the CHAMPIONSHIPS.
Look, lets all be honest. When Jordan came out of UNC, NO ONE was
expecting him to be who he was.
NO ONE ever imagined that he would become such a great scorer right
away. Everyone knew he could dunk but no one had any real
expectations that his game would be so difficult for the NBA to adjust
    to.
That being said, Jordan, had the luxury of not having any expectations
of championships placed on him nor did he have any pressure of being
    GREAT.
As such, he could grow into his success and not have to compete
night in and night out against the lofty expectations that fans created
for him every game or season.
Fans simply enjoyed what he did each game. There was no talk of him
ever becoming greater than Magic. There was never any talk of him
winning more titles than Magic. Fans simply enjoyed and marveled at
his talents and the appreciation grew.
Conversely, Lebron has had lofty expectations placed upon him every
since he was in high school. Before he played one game of NBA
basketball, he was already deemed to be the next great thing.
Jordan never spent the first 6yrs of his career in the spotlight of
Magic's greatness. Fans didnt criticize him for passing on the big shot
and passing to his teammates like Paxton, Armstrong and Kerr during
    his champiosnip runs.
So, without the spotlight of competiting against Magic and his
championships, Jordan could just lace them up each night and play
basketball. Conversely, Lebron has spent every game of his NBA career
    under category-5 storm of expectations.
And all he has done to date is EXCEED all of them. Within 3yrs in the
NBA, this 20yr old kid took a team that had only won 17 games, to the
NBA Finals. He was a MVP by his 4th year and a scoring champion.
And with all of the expectations growing, he just continued to exceed
them. After his 6th year, he opted out of his contract and joined 2
other players and they have gone on to play in 3 NBA Finals in a row
and win 2 of them back to back.
He is Mr. Do Everything for his team and he plays the game with an
UNSELFISHNESS that no one has seen in a person with so much talent
    to dominate the game.
As selfish as some fans want him to be with his talents, he, unlike
Jordan or Kobe, remains a team basketball player.
Jordan never had the expectations of winning a certain number of
championships, Kobe never had the expectations of delivering
championships to LA, Duncan never had the expectations and even
Tony Parker never came into the league with lofty expectations of him
    having to win multiple championships.
Only Shaq and Lebron came into the NBA with greatness already as
their expectations. And to both of their credit…..they have exceeded
them….while even under the brightest of spotlights.

Tremendous. Couldn't agree with this more.

another factor.. di uso internet noon

Pero as a player and sa achievement, Lebron will certainly be close to MJ at the end of his career. Maybe will surpass Kobe.

-not a lal fan, not a black mambuwaya fan.. hehe

Let's just say na he's adjusting his game. He did have triple doubles this season.

The way you speak mukhang taganood ka lang din.
  • Is it possible to have Nate Robinson playing on 1 position at the same time with DRose on 2guard position? Ano mga possible plays dito? Can't be arsed to think eh. Hehehe.

They have similar style of play and mentality: scoring guards. Open lane, drive or pop. They can run infinite number of pick and rolls.

compared sayo, walang wala talaga sir. as in. nood nood ka din fanboy pag may time ha.

una muna, isign ng bulls si nate sa isang long term deal. afaik, one year deal lang si nate. pero maganda to kasi run and gun kaso lugi sila sa mismatch sa depensa.

    bulls fan din. :)
  • saan article ba yan galing? Yahoo sports nakalagay sa ilalim.

sobra naman yan no one expecting.

    Jordan CV Before NBA.
    1. NCAA All-American First Team.
    2. 1984 Olympic gold medal sa college national team (Not NBA team)
    3. highschool sya. McDonald's All-American Team member sya.
    4. Naismith, Wooden College Player of the Year awards in 1984,
    5. 3rd pic sa NBA draft.
    6. COver ng sports illustrated 1 month before mag NBA.

  • @rodriv:

I think it has more to do with the advent of internet/social media.

    Very Funny!
  • Well if youre really GOAT or in a discusiion about being GOAT then pressure should be little to no effect on you.

Were on internet age. And LBJ at the first place is the one who predicted not one..., (well what would you expect fans, media and haters gonna do?)

What i dont like about LBJ up to now is his performance in the Finals is far from his MVPesque regular season averages.

This what separates MJ from him. Mj, despite of better PLAYOFF defenses shines better in the playoffs and more importantly in the Finals.

    Still they are all greats.

Nothing to be discussed about here. MJ is still the greatest of all time.

    ^Creating moments.

Just like all greats do: Magic, Bird, MJ, Kareem. Moments done not one.. Well you get the point. :)
