UPS or AVR?

  • yung logic ups nakalagay 10hrs backup time php3,750 di kasama yung battery.

    2. san makakabili ng battery replacement for UPS APC?
    3. san kaya pwede magpa-repair ng UPS?

    thank you.
  • 1. Yes, of course.
    2. Ace Hardware or any Autthorized APC Service Centers.
    3. Check trading section under UPSes and AVRs for suppliers and repairs. Some TPC members also supply replacement batteries.

I will not give their names here in the forums because that is considered advertising/endorsing in the forums already which is against site rules. Good luck.

  • 10hrs backup time

10 hours for P3k+? That's stupid and ridiculous. Hahaha.....

Kung sino nagsabi niyan nahihibang. And I am prepared to place a bet na nahihibang nga siya.
  • Yeah, 10 hours of backup time even for a single PC regardless of specs is unbelievable.

The UPS will still require a MATRIX chain of batteries connected in parallel to make that happen. But even then the internal charging circuit of the UPS will not be able to keep the batteries full charged dahil limited lang ang ampere na kaya ibigay ng charging circuit. ^_^

More likely it just informs the user that the UPS is now in backup power mode or battery mode. When the beeping interval becomes shorter until maging stright continuous tone na ito then that means mauubos na ang reserve power. Yan na matatawag ang warning to turn off the PC safely kasi bigla na lang mamamatay ang PC due to the depletion of reserve power if the tone is left unheeded. ^_^

  • Sa akin rito I don't normally keep on working under battery power. Ang gamit ko lang talaga sa UPS ko is to protect me against intermittent switching of utility power ON and OFF. Pero during brownout talaga I turn off my PC totally. I may be getting a square wave form more than clean sine wave. So just to be safe... I don't rely on backup power. This is just here to protet my work and allow me to shut down my PC, normally. ^_^

Yun po ang pipihitin para ma-adjust ang amount of output voltage when the UPS is under battery mode.

Somehow over at APC service center they have a way to recalibrate that output. Sa akin naka-set ang APC to to give out 230 volts to 235 volts when under battery power.

(I measured actual readings using my genuine imported na digital multi-tester from Germany)
  • The APC RS model is also cabrated using software when the UPS itself is connected to a PC via its RS-232 communication port. Meron siguro iyan BIOS din sa loob. (Not sure about this). ^_^

    1. Yes.
    2. & 3. ClixLogic. <click here for link>

I tried their service and was very satisfied with it. You can have your unit serviced and they'll provide you one year warranty for it. They also do pickups and delivery.

    @CivicVTi

At may certain appeal sakin yung pagka "retro oldschool" nya :D
Any woners of omni pls. feeback. thanks!
  • up

posible ba mag-overload yung avr kapag madami nakasaksak?
