subscribed to a MySuperPlan 999 with Unlisurf, here's hoping everything goes well..

Hi guys.
Been back-reading from page 220 (or so) and I'm pretty convinced in getting the "postpaid sim only plan 999" because it's the one that doesn't have capping/throttling + the speeds aren't bad either.
Question na lang would be the hardware I'll get.
I'm leaning towards the 3G/4G dongle (Huawei E353/E355/E357) + wireless router (TP-LINK MR3220 or 3420) setup since I'll be using from home primarily. We have two desktops, 1 laptop, 1 tablet, and 3 handheld gadgets but the heaviest users are the first three. I'm also considering the mifi option (E5331/E5332) and just get USB wireless adapters for the desktops but I don't know if these mifi's are suitable for 24/7 use. The Huawei B683 option is very tempting also, kaso beyond my budget na yung presyo nya.
Hope you guys can help me decide. Again, here are my preferences:
- To be used primarily at home (siguro, 90% of the time)
- Should have provision for external antenna (in case mahina signal)
- Pwedeng 24/7 operation
Thanks!

@rodelm
kung 24/7 operation ko much better get the 4g dongle+router. di maganda na 24/7 ang mifi masasayang lang ang purpose ng portability and most mifi devices limits to 5 users max.

@rodelm
have you tested globe's signal strength and connection reliability at your place? you might get disappointed in the end if you didn't.
better to try a prepaid globe tattoo sim first, or buy the globe 4g flash kit (aka huawei e357).
if all things go smoothly then you would just need to apply for the postpaid service and just buy a 3g/4g router.

@ rodelm ok yang suggestion ni orochi you might get disappointed in the end just like me nung nakita ko tong thread i saw their speed and considering na 999p monthly pero nung out of the box nagtest ako after ko ma avail i only get 1mbps.
since i have what it takes to make experiments and to purchase other devices to invest, modems, routers, antenna i did make it through to get morethan 1mbps. the point is dependent talaga sa area mo ang speed
currently i invested in the smart lte as per my testing my vote goes to globe
lte smart is parang hspa+ lang ng globe ko and worst is lessthan 1mbps pa speed ko with -70rssi
on area with lte like trinoma i only got max of 8mbps past 8pm while i can get 8mbps on my globe in hspa only
at the office manila area both smart and globe have lte smart lte is 3-6mbps while globe gives 15mbps to 28mbps

Thanks for your quick replies! Really appreciate it!
Re globe's signal strength and connection reliability in our area, I got to try their wimax product for about a week and signal strength was very good (almost always 100%) and connectivity was OK as well. I know that wimax frequency is different from 3g/4g but I guess this is should still be a good sign.
Re prepaid tattoo sim or globe 4g flash kit -- I'll take your advice and get either of these first. Just one question: After purchasing, do I still have to wait 24-48 hours before activation, considering their prepaid? Or do these things work, 'out of the box'?

@rodelm172
san area ka bro?
wimax is a different story with regards the signal you will get on these 3g/4g dongles
after purchasing the kit you can use it right away, forgot the code to claim the free trial 7days of surfing
the 24-48 hour activation is for the newly subscribed postpaid plans

two years ko na gamit plan 999 na sim only. no capping ako naranasan. kausap ko kahapon globe rep regarding dun sa isa ko account na unlisurf din 999. ang mga scripted nilang sagot talagang nakakatawa. may capping daw unlisurf eh kasi recontracting nalang ako dun. 800mb daw per day. sagot ko bakit ako nakakadownload ng 15gb a day na data? sabay ba naman pinutol ang conversation namin :D

Rodriguez (aka Montalban), Rizal area.
I was at the nearest GBC earlier (we have one here in Montalban) and they don't have the 4G Flash Kit. The only prepaid ones they have are the 3.6Mbps Sonic (@ Php795) and the 12Mbps Ultrastick (@ Php1295). The sales clerk did that they work out of the box, as long as you put load in them.
Since I'm not familiar with how these things work, I just want to ask if accurate yung sinabi sa 'kin ng clerk.
- In order for me to put load in the stick, I need to take out the SIM from the modem and insert it into a cellphone
- When it's in the cellphone, I can have it loaded via prepaid card or through loading station (sari-sari store)
- IF there's enough load, I can opt to register for unlisurf (50 for 1 day, 120 for 3 days, 200 for 5 days, 999 for 30 days)
- I remove the SIM from the cellphone and place it back to the modem
- I plug the modem to my laptop or PC and then I can use the internet
^^ Is this how it should really be? ^^
It just seems a bit tedious to always be removing and inserting back the SIM from the modem and cellphone just to put load in it.

@rodelm
no need bro. just install the dashboard by plugging the modem. may built in sms system na ang dashboard ng modems.
you can monitor also your current download sa dashboard.
