  • Good day mga sir,

Pwede po ba pa recommend ng router for my needs?
Bale 12 Cellphone 2 Ip Camera at isang desktop.
    Thank you in advance.

  • Hi, looking to connect 2 houses around 200m apart (600ft) to be able to share 1 network. Hindi pa ako umaakyat ng bubong pero tancha ko hindi super clear line of sight, malamang may puno and/or poste ng Meralco na maaaring humarang. For sure walang bldg since village sya.

Planning on buying 2x Nanobeam Gen2 for this. Salamat!
  • paulito - Sa Ubiquiti website may sila simulator ng distance and what equipment would you like to use.

If balak mo mag UDM sir, I suggest basahin mo yung thread ng UDM sa forums nila. Google mo lang "UDM firmware 1.5.6". Actually, yan ang first stable firmware update released ever since launch (last week lang so medyo mabagal sila for me).

    - UDM / NanoHD AP / AP-AC-LR / 5x 8port Switch (managed & dumb)
    - 4 VLANs Total (Main / IoT / Guest / Remote User VPN)
    - 40 to 50 Clients for both wired and wireless

Ginagamit ko na features is basically fort forward lang and yung built-in security features nya.

Pero aside from that, super stable ng network so far. Pero best na experience for me sa UniFi is yung client roaming.

I was expecting sobrang ganda and pulido nya hehe good luck!
Currently, we have UDM-US (2nd floor) and NanoHD (1st floor) for our 80sqm loft-type small office. clients are wired:1 desktop, wireless: 20 laptops, 30 mobile/tablets and 40 IoT. Magtransfer kami to a new office (same loft type but 120sqm) and i'm looking for expanding our network requirements. Here are my options:

    1. Retain UDM-US and NanoHD
add 1 NanoHD and 1 Unifi Switch lite 8 ports

Pros: Cheaper, POE to power APs will be eliminated.
Cons: Adoption of Unifi Switch in UDM-US(I dont know if this is already fixed by now)

    2. Replace UDM-US with UDM-PRO and retain NanoHD
    add 2 NanoHD

Pros: More powerful router, better AP signal in every room,
Cons: Expensive, APs should be powered separately by POE.

We're planning to hardwire 1 PC, 1 Printer, 3 TV.

Also, madalas ko nakikita pag may UDM-PRO meron din USW-24, hindi ba pwede yung switch na lang sa UDM-PRO instead of buying additional USW-24 since 8 ports lang naman ang need?

    Current connection is 1gpbs globe.

    Thank you, TPC.
  • hi po. help naman installing ap ac pro. ginawa ko po, pldt fiber modem > tp link sg108 pe switch > ap ac pro (thru a PoE port). tried to install the Unifi Controller pero pag click ko pa lang dun sa Unifi controller "Launch a Browser to Manage a Network", pag open ng chrome lumabas "privacy error Your connection is not private
Attackers might be trying to steal your information from localhost (for example, passwords, messages, or credit cards). Learn more
NET::ERR_CERT_AUTHORITY_INVALID" bale di po pa ako nakapag setup

If your UDM is not showing signs of crawling, the only advantage you'll get from the UDM-PRO is the integration of Unifi Protect with the HDD. If you're planning on installing Unifi CCTVs, then the UDMP will make sense.

The UDMP's 8-port switch does NOT have PoE support. Also, keep note that while an eight port switch makes sense now, it would be prudent to oversize the capacity for future network expansion. Don't make the same mistake I did: I bought a US-8-150W only to replace it a year later with a USW-24-Pro-PoE since I quickly ran out of ports.

    On APs:

As for APs, the Gen4 (NanoHD/FlexHD) is still a great deal, but you should also consider the newer U6-Lite. If you're not doing heavy data transfer for your wireless clients, you can purchase two of these for the price of a single Nano (around 4k for U6-Lite versus 10k for the Nano). Since it also supports WiFi 6, it should also futureproof you for a bit.

    @sethmartin
That's a known issue with the Unifi Network Controller. Ubiquiti hasn't updated their cert since 2018-2019 so the error pops out. You should be able to click "Continue anyway" somewhere on the browser page and it will take you to the controller.

General question po sa thread: Does anyone here know where to buy Unifi Video cameras? I've been looking all over and can't seem to find any.
  • any nanostation AC users here? musta performance? kaya pa ba 200mbps sa 2 kilometers clear line of sight? thanks
