Intel® Core™ i3 / Core™ i5 / Core™ i7 Thread (Ivy Bridge/Sandy Bridge - Z77/Z75/H77/Z68/H67 - LGA 1155)

    Core i7/i5/i3 4000 series - Haswell - LGA 1150 - 8 series chipset / 9 series chipset - DDR3

    Core i7/i5/i3 5000 series - Broadwell - LGA 1150 - 9 series chipset - DDR3

    Core i7/i5/i3 6000 series - Skylake - LGA 1151 - 100 series chipset - DDR4 / DDR3L

Kung kailangan mo na talaga ng PC ngayon, you can't go wrong with Core i7 4790K

Baka nasa 10 to 15% lang ang gain in a clock-for-clock comparison

Skylake will only work on LGA 1151 boards
  • mukhang di worth it kung mag uupgrade ng i5 na haswell to i5 na skylake besides gastos lang palit board and procie.
sana kahit papano tumagal pa ang i5 3470 still kicking pa naman kahit papano. ipon mode muna for better gpu and board.

  • guys, worth ba magupgrade from i5 2400 -> i5 3570?

In my opinion hindi siya sulit. At least go for i5-2500K or i5-3570K so you can overclock the processor to get higher speeds :-)

  • @plutho

Pero kung gagastos ka lang din ng around Php 9K for a Core i5-3570 or any Ivy Bridge processor, might as well go straight to Haswell. May promo kasi ngayon na when you buy a Haswell processor may free ECS na Z87 motherboard. Mas mahirap narin kasi maghanap ng Z77 motherboards ngayon and you have to trawl through the second hand market to find one.

I'm using asrock z68 extreme 4 gen 3. Wala kasi ako idea paano mag oc and no experience at all. Basic lang siguro okay na no? I mean yung oc feature mismo sa board.

    Cpu: i5 2500k
    Board: asrock z68 extreme 4 gen 3
    Ram: ripjaws 1600 cl9
Gpu: gtx 560 palit oc edition
Psu: tru rated 750 watts. Overkill!! Nakalimutan ko tatak

Ano kaya maganda? Ssd na ba ko rin? Or kaya naman ng caviar blue siguro no? Tolerable naman e.

    Questions
    1. Ano magandang cpu cooler preferably air cooler. Pass sa water cooling matrabaho

    2. Sa hdd caviar blue na no?

    3. Need ko na ba new gpu? 2k15 nba ang game ko. Nagpapawis na pero kaya medium settings.
  • @ephraim2112
    1. Deepcool Gammaxx 400
    2. I suggest you get an SSD for your OS and 1 or 2 games with it, yung regular HDD mo for storage na lang. Starts with the letter D******** ^_^
    3. If your budget allows get a GTX 960, if not then a 750Ti will do.

Those are just suggestions, pero depende na rin sa budget mo and ano resolution mo sya lalaruin.
    HTH!
  • mga bossing meron ako dito Refurbished Intel DH77EB Motherboard naka Sealed pa ito kasi ung gamit nito i5 3470 ko nag ka problema cya nung Sept 2013 so pina warranty ko 3 - 4 weeks bago ko ulit nakuha no choice ako wala magagamit na PC kaya bumili ako ng ASUS B75 M-A ngayon nakatago lng sayang naman pag di magamit anong maganda procie and gpu para sa motherboard na ito
  • worth it po ba upgrade ko?. intel g620 (dual core) to intel i5 3470? (quad)
  • ^ yes
  • Still rocking a 3570K. I don't see myself upgrading for a least 3 years from now, 5 maybe :)

Same here, I postponed my PC upgrade. Even yung performance numbers ni Haswell and Skylake not much of an increase over Ivy Bridge. Although I'm hoping Skylake is a very overclockable chip.

Siguro regret ko lang is I should have gotten a Core i7-3770K instead of Core i5-3570K and a better motherboard. If I knew na matagal tagal pa ang usability ng Sandy Bridge ~ Ivy Bridge processors should have spent more on the CPU and motherboard.

Ideally yung Intel CPU upgrades natin should coincide with the "Tock" period of the Intel "Tick-Tock" model :-)
  • More on IGP naman kasi ang nag improve pati chipset. Not much about the CPU performance, nakaka tempt lang talaga mag upgrade.
  • Problem is we have so much computing power nowdays, it's getting wasted on things such as web browsing and HTPC. Ako nga I no longer do strenuous stuff on my desktop except games: no programming (due to nature of work), no video encoding, no photoshop. Only games and net.

Kung upgrade ako ngayon, what will I get? USB 3.1 and DDR4? Nah I'll pass :)

My first purchase of ivy was i5 3570k and Asus P8Z77-V LK. When I saw a 10k i7 3770k, sold my i5 then bought the i7. When I got additional funds, I purchased Sabertooth Z77. Now I'm overclocking at 4.5ghz @ 1.20v (though never needed it yet). I gave my Asus P8Z77-V LK to my brother, which has i5 3570 currently overclocked @4.0ghz.
Sa tingin nyo ano magiging pinakasulit, 3570k, 3770 or go for 4th gen CPU (4460??). Wala po plano mag OC. Salamat.
