    tahimik ah..

quick update sa auto ko - new rear sway bar! new extended lugs (rear)!

coming soon - new intercooler! boost re-tune to 1bar! (approx 250whp)
  • @ root
noice! do you have turbo timer equipped ?
  • @statix
    yup!
tho i can get as low as 1.2K sa labas kaso void naman si warranty >.<

    anyways, ano brand gamit mo?
  • @statix
    HKS na turbo timer saken.

Ano auto mo ulet? Since you mentioned warranty, I'm guessing brand new yan na auto and most likely stock boost.

In which case, IMO no need for turbo timer. Newer turbos are less susceptible to "burn-in" damage if walang turbo timer. Also, stock turbos typically have low-boost settings naman. So unless you really drive hard (as in red-line lagi), I don't see the need for it.

If you're feeling paranoid, after a bit of hard driving, just drive more relaxed sa last 2-3kms. That should be enough time to cool down.

Another tip - pagdating sa location, do your prep stuff (spraying cologne, getting wallet, phones, etc.) before shutting off the engine. Dun palang mga 30sec-1min idle na din.
  • yes it's brand new, hilux sir root.

i was just that skeptical and i thought it's just a myth until makita ko sya sa manual ko; i have to let it cool down for 2mins @ max after high speed/uphill driving.

that's exactly what i'm doing atm, kaso minsan umaandar ang pagiging malilimutin eh hehe

salamats sa head up bossing! =)

yang high-speed/uphill na yan, talagang hi-RPM driving ang ibig sabihin, especially if sustained length of time.

unless sustained na almost red-line ang RPM mo sa hi-way or siguro mga 140++ km/h ka lagi, okay lang yan.
  • Congrats sir Bringer24!

Canvass muna ng R13 Rims and Tires

    suggestion lang naman :)

    @statix

bigger rims are a bit heavier pero sobrang liit lang ng difference nyan sa fuel consumption (from R13 to R15).. :)

sabagay sir, noted din naman nga pala dun sa manual; no need to cool down within normal/city driving which is the usual routine ko dito sa auto.

    @ aRTie

eto ok lang sir, hindi pa nga eh...inuna muna ang canopy kasi need ko talaga ng confinement and security dun sa bed. work horse ko din kasi sya at the same time.
btw, may nakita din ako sa OLX @ 5.5K /set thailand ABS plastic no color/paint included and heck they dont do any paint job :(

We are expecting our first Baby early next year kasi kaya tipid tipid muna :)

We had this done though for a very minimal cost.. Gloss roof tint

the price seems reasonable, pero baka mahal din kasi paint and installation, tingin ko aabutin ng 2k to 3k per piece
  • change oil engine and transmission

change new front tires from Yokohama to Westlake H550A temporary lng muna biglaan kasi di na pala pede ung dating tires kasi may damage na.

    total damage today: 5,900
