[HELP] Nvidia Geforce Go 7200 Installation Error on HP DV2119tx

  • Mga experts need ko lang po ng help niyo. I have an HP Pavilion DV2119tx notebook. I have upgraded the software from XP Media Center Edition 2005 to XP Professional. I have installed the drivers needed except one that I have been getting an error with. Whenever I install the driver for my Nvidia Geforce go 7200 I get an error saying that it can\\\'t find any drivers necessary and that set up would exit.

Parang ganto po yung itsura niya:

I have attached the exact error. Has anyonone encountered this kind of problem? I can\\\'t play any games because I can\\\'t install this driver.

Medyo hindi po ako techy so I would appreciate any help. Please? Thanks a lot po.

    Maraming thanks po ulit!

XP Media Center Edition is based on XP Pro. Why not just return to the Media Center OS?

I have gone to the local HP Center here in India and they don't have a copy of it. Is it because of my current OS?
  • I read an article on the nvidia support site that walks one through on how to install driver manually. Now whenever I try to check my hardware components to update the drivers from there manually, I don't see my nvidia card. Instead, I only see the Intel 945GM chipset.

How should I go about this kaya. I think my laptop is not detecting my video card. Thanks po sa mga makakatulong.
  • ^may drivers na for notebook yung sa nvidia website.. try mo yun, yun yung gamit ko dati nung naka HP DV2000 series ako na laptop with GeForce 7200M.. another site is yung laptopvideo2go, modded drivers yun for GeForce mobiles..
  • i have tried disabling the intel chipset hoping that my system would find my video card. wala pa din. ano kaya problem?
  • Malayong mangyari, pero hindi kaya nagalaw mo ang BIOS settings mo? Maybe naka-disable ang dedicated video card mo or something?
  • Also, try to go sa Device Manager mo through system properties.

Sa Device Manager menu, click on Action>Scan for Hardware Changes. Kapag di pa rin nya nadetect video card mo and prompt to install the drivers... then..

Sa menu, choose View>Show Hidden Devices. Look for your video card, right click, then Scan for Hardware Changes ulit. Make sure na di rin sya disabled from here.

  • Is you're unit brandnew? if yes are you sure you bought the correct model with the Geforce Go 7200 vid card and not the one with an Intel IGP?

Got it from a friend here in India. Yun yung specs na sabi niya sakin eh. The unit also has a sticker of Nvidia. Is there anyway for me to know if the graphics card is Intel IGP?

  • Go to the support site from the link below. Kunin mo yung laptop product number sa bottom ng unit mo.

    <click here for link>

Choose See support and troubleshooting information then enter your product number.

Go to Product Information then Product Specifications..

You should see something like this:

    Product Name dv4-1147cl
    Product Number XX000XX#XXX
Microprocessor 2.00 GHz Intel Centrino Processor Technology featuring Intel Core 2 Duo Processor T5800
Microprocessor Cache 2 MB L2 Cache
    Memory 4096 MB
    Memory Max 8192 MB
Video Graphics NVIDIA GeForce 9200M GS NB9M GE
Video Memory Up to 2302 MB (512 MB dedicated)

boss mac eto lang po nakukuha ko <click here for link> wala pong option to view specs. pano kaya to. kainis naman tong lappy na to.
  • I'm assuming you're just entering the model number that would NOT give you the detailed specs of your system.

Kelangan mo kunin yung product number ng laptop mo from the bottom of the lappy then enter mo sa product number field.

    See image below.

sir I have made sure na p/n ko yung nilagay ko.
  • format mo nalang ulit lahat tapos reinstall lahat. pag nagkaproblema talaga ibalik mo na sa pinagbilhan mo.
  • Weird nga, di ko rin mapalabas yung specs mo with the supplied p/n.

Just try out the auto-detect option na lang on the same page when you're using your HP lappy.
