show me your model kits: gundam, anime, mecha etc (640 x 480 img. only)

  • pag nag import kayo at EMS pinili nyo, malaking chance na yung PHILPOST will endorse your item to customs on the same area. pag nangyari to, instead of receiving the item at your doorstep, you have to pick it up at PASAY kahit saan pa kayo galing. Kaya SAL pinipili ko na shipping method.

for the duties payment, they will strictly follow this (the fixed portion is 515 pesos lol)

  • @chyll,

Are you ordering from HLJ (or what online shop)? OK lang ba yung SAL, wala pa namang pumalpak na delivery? and how often are you endorsed to Customs using SAL? I've check the tariff code (http://www.tariffcommission.gov.ph/2012%20Chapter%2095.pdf), and I believe gunpla and the likes falls under 9503.00.40 (Reduce Size Model ("scale") and similar recreational model which is just 3% duty. I think that's acceptable (especially ordering items not found locally) in case ma-endorse sa customs, though magpapalaki ng price is yung 12% vat.
  • Kung susundan yung tamang duty, even at a 3,000 pesos worth of purchase + vat and duties aabutin ka lang nang 3450 which is less than the 515 pesos. I just wonder if even at all the added cost eh makakamura parin ako if i buy from the cheapest local seller. basta wag lang may hassle of going to philpost

    iwas OT muna :D

    OT:
toys/sccale model are taxed using 10%, feel free makipag-away sa dingding/customs officers. I heard anything below 35 USD will not be taxed, good luck, 10 to 20 USD kakainin agad ng shipping cost

I only tried EMS once, dun ko na try ang Pasay Philpost. Abala talaga kasi I am from Valenzuela and the traffic is heavily congested.
For SAL, I can no longer remember kung ilang beses na ako nag order (in 1 year naka more than 5 na ata ako). Wala naman failed delivery and usually arrives after 3 weeks. They are forwarded to the local post office, and they will mail you a index card saying you got an item that you need to claim. Kung swerte ka, post office fee lang babayaran mo which is 100 pesos now per shipping (previously 40 then raised to 50). Kung malas ka, they can also do the tax computation.

I dont order from HLJ or other famous site.

Anyway, hilig ko ngayon is macross stuff.

  • @chyll, thanks for the info
  • chyll2
    anong brand yan ng macross?
    arcadia?

nag simula ako sa yamato macross, then gundam MG next gundam PG, ngayon Hot toys at tamashii gundam, babalik ako sa PG sa 2015. pero tempting yung arcadia macross.
  • @rodriv

the 25A is the DX Chogokin from Bandai. The orange 0D is a 1/72 Hasegawa model, it was supposed to be painted blue or gray but at that time, meron akong orange paint for other projects. Naisip ko, yung VF-1D is orange, might as well create a unique version. lol

I will share when I have the time again to do paint, I bought a yamato un-assembled 1/60 toy kit and junk items to do a custom VF-1A.

the arcadia 0D has a release date of February 2015. Isip isip muna >.<
  • Like the orange custom.

Sabi nya almost half daw ang minura compared to local sellers.
  • magkano bili mo sir?
  • kakukuha ko lang din kanina:

yf-29 ozma lee custom + super parts

Most of my model kits galing sa STC malapit sa Sta Cruz church.
  • 1/72 YF-19

  • @gsb2153
last time I asked them, wala sila 1/72 kits. I have to special order back then to get hasegawa kits

    @garret
    ganda pala ng white yf-19
  • @excedon
Macross kit was not a big hit in Japan I guess, they even cancelled the 1/48 version (parang PG version). But from the site of Mandarake, may iilang copy nyan as used item.

the toy is another story though, Bandai has a steady release of Macross Frontier toy product.

Most of my kits ay yung mga luma. Yung kela rick hunter, etc. Hehe!
  • @GarretMasterson
Ganda pala pag white, yung yf-19.

    @gsb2153

  • Questions guys for those who have painted/used Tamiya ts-84 (metallic gold). In the directions of the said paint, it's mentioned not to apply a clear coat. Is this 100% true or can we apply a gloss clear coat for example. I need to apply a topcoat to protect decals/panel lines so I'm thinking of either masking the gold painted parts or maybe disassemble the pieces to be top coated. Of course if it could be done without doing that, it would be much easier. Also, I would assume that a flat coat would have a more pronounced (or maybe undesirable effect) on the gold paint but if someone has done that, please also share its effect. Thanks.
  • I think it will get dulled down with a clear coat. It is solvent/lacquer based, so I dont think any Acrylic based clear coat can affect it.
  • hmmm, so mawawala yung kintab nung ts-84 even with a gloss clear? Anyway, I'll test the effect first before I proceed with the coating but if someone has an actual experience spraying a clear coat on a ts-84 (metallic gold or maybe other tamiya metallic colors) paint, feel free to share :)
  • (metallic gold or maybe other tamiya metallic colors)

    @kyrios
muntik ko ng makalimutan, yung orange Plane na napost ko sa taas, it is painted using Metallic Orange From tamiya. It is brushed painted using Satin finish coat then later a dirtier satin clear coat (with a bit of grays). Though it does not answer your concern about how much it gets dulled (since I use satin and not gloss) but at least, it is fairly safe to do coat it as long you are using acrylic clear coat (Please take note that bosny clear coat is acrylic clear coat but is thin using lacquer)

I also used metallic black on it and other small details I needed to paint black.

Dunno how this helps, since I am not really a fan of gloss coat.

There will be loss of gloss/shimmer, that is given, but I dont think it will be that much since you are still using gloss coat.
  • guys need help! baka may nakakapagtago pa sa inyo ng assembly manual for this model of gundam - http://www.1999.co.jp/eng/10020465 - binigay lang kase and nawawala yung manual kaya hindi mabuo. thanks...
