what's sad is i think through the years people are becoming more and more complacent. even OMs may mga sablay mag-english.
  • Yun nga eh. Dapat we should keep our competitive edge.
Even our company is starting to invest in Malaysia and China.
If we don't improve, our BPO industry might not hold up quite well.

as long as they get the job done and the client is not complaining, who are you to judge? kaw perfect ba English mo?
  • complacent person detected
  • lol, mga pinoy lang naman ang mahilig manlait sa English ng kapwa pinoy. i have never heard a native English speaker complaining of grammar mistakes made by a filipino. inggit na rin i suppose, kasi nga di fluent sa English pero nasa mataas na posisyon, habang subordinate nya ang fluent English speaking person. y'all shouldn't be surprised, common na yan sa bpo industry.

Sad bad true.
  • walang perfect english speaker, but if madali manotice yun mga kamalian mo, there must be something wrong there. it mat also be fueled by envy or whatever reason, fact is may butas pa din or may incompetency pa din.

do something wrong often enough without someone complaining or pointing out the flaws, and it becomes right eventually.

    singlish anyone?

The major reason why western companies are investing in the BPO industry here in our country is our ability to speak their language well.

If we want to keep our jobs then it's part of it to maintain or improve our English proficiency.

QA ako dati and I read CSAT surveys as part of my job.

    kaw perfect ba English mo?

Nope, pero I'm proud to say that it's good.
  • @E
If you don't mind, recent ba yang mga docs na yan? Kasi I know some who work in VXi. Bigyan ko lang heads-up kung sakali.
  • Yes, recent lang ito. They were under investigation few yrs ago pero muka may taga loob sila na govt employee kaya nagka magic bigla daw "registered" sila sa BIR pero di pumasa sa law division at kay undersecretary. One of the two chinese owner even has a ton of complaints against him kaya siguro binigay kay Luis Manzano yung part ownership.

    +1

    di pwede ang pwede na.
  • @E
    Thanks!
  • You can also try to google "vxi global illegal" naka online few cases nila.

Ito sample case ng isa employee from VXi just last year. Don't worry this info is public and can be viewed on the web.
