* Call Center Life (Posting/Soliciting Job Vacancies Strictly Prohibited!)

  • Just got news from my friend taga dole. May kalokohan ginawa ang spi. Pinadala nila mga employees nila sa dumaguete para mag "re-training" pero here's the catch.. Di sagot mg spi yung lodging and other expenses plus if you don't want to go you're automatically terminated. Ano kalokohan naman yan. Wala na nga sila annual increase sabay gulangan pa. May mga na stranded na tuloy mga employees dun waiting for their payout just to have the money to get back home to manila.

    resume lang sir. pag tanggap ka dun na sila maghihingi ng pre-employment documents for their records. usually yung requirements ay: NBI clearance, TOR mo sa school, SSS #, TIN #, yung clearance mo sa pre-employment medical exam.

  • sad to say majority ng call center companies may "auto terminate" BS policy. Contract signing palang kalokohan na. Remember during the interview they will ask if you're willing to be shifted to another site or another program sabay sagot mo NO then pagdating ng kontrata nakalagay sa contract agreement na "by signing this contract you agree to shift sites whenever needed". Odi bakit pa sila nagtanong in the first place diba? Pag di ka nag agree doon eh kukunin nila contract mo sabay ita tag ka pa na "non-rehirable" eventhough there's no such term sa labor code specially wala ka naman na commit na offense sa company to begin with. May kilala ako nag apply dati sa cvg na di nag pirma kasi akala nya sa technohub siya ma assign kasi spinecify niya na yun lang talaga site pero gusto siya itapon sa ayala. Nung nag re-apply siya the following year ayun naka tag napala siya as "non-rehire". Even teletech does that specifically yung teletech nova. Nag file college mate ko ng formal letter stating na too dangerous yung location dahil within 1 month 3x siya na hold up going there at tinanggap ng HR manager pero nung may site na sila sa technohub she tried re-applying, aba may hit siya di daw siya pwede. Ano nangyari sa formal letter na may blotter pa? Wala pala bearing yun sa kanila.
  • I haven't encountered that personally. Kung nilagyan man nila ng not-for rehire, di ko rin napansin kasi di na ko nag apply sa kanila

    Dami ko na tinurndown na offers because of different reasons like location, salary, post, etc., pero kinokontak pa rin ako ng mga tinurndown ko.

    Yung isang BPO, nag-apply ako for a Quality Coordinator post about 3 years ago, pinag exam ako kaso after exam, sa csr post nila ko daw mailalagay kasi walang opening na QC tapos sa Libis site pa nila na sobrang layo sa kin. Tinurn down ko sila but since then hindi lalampas isang taon na hindi nila ko kinokontak. Last week lang kinontak nila ko for CSR post pa rin. Kulet amp.
  • Got an interview with a bank bpo. Naka post sa job street 29k-33k, pero pagdating sa j.o. 18k lang ang bigay. Wtf...

  • @pcadikz - advice ng friend ko sa DOLE i print mo daw yung job ad nila sabay show it sa recruitment. That's already misleading and can be tagged as fraud. Minsan nga idadahilan pa nila na yung "salary" na pinost daw nila is for a different account or yung "salary" daw naka post if yung FULL amount including night diff, bonuses, basic salary, maxxed out komisyon. What da heck! Kaya nga tawag SALARY eh at di GROSS INCOME. It's true that the call centers are low balling. They're not stupid not to know what the basic offer is but they're acting stupid to deny that's the real basic salary. Well, less for the employee, more money for the company.

    Oo nga pala may mga pdf na public na ni rerelease ang DOLE ng mga SENA cases nila pero di masyado updated ang DOLE at nagloloko madalas yung site pero here is a simple link for transparency sake. I happen to past by yung 3rd quarter of 2012 FLAVAS report/hearings nila. Try to use control F and type in the name of your company baka nandun sila. ;)

  • May mga I bang callcenter forced o.t. Pinapapitada pa ng plywood ang floor para walang makauwi na agent. Illegal detention lang ang peg?

    I guess you can call this a "modus" in the industry, pero nice trick if you're willing to bait.
