* Call Center Life (Posting/Soliciting Job Vacancies Strictly Prohibited!)

    one would have a lot of reasons why they would skip an interview. merong gravity and stigma yan tag na "no show for interview" imo. masyado sya mabigat na penalty. para naman kasing naging NBI ang jobstreet para mag impose ng ganyan.

    My view on this is it's okay to tag an applicant as NCNS sa company na inapplyan niya.

    What I don't agree with is JS sending this info to other companies which you are well qualified to apply. There are a thousand reasons why an applicant failed to appear in an interview BUT that does not affect other companies.

    It's just plain unfair to be disqualified to apply in Company B or even Company XYZ just because you failed to appear in Company A's interview. Yes you can apply directly with Company B but JS may have already sent the NCNS info that Company A reported to JS.
  • dapat users can provide feedbacks sa kumpanya din, not just talk about them sa forums. naalala ko pa yung mga panahon na sasabihan ka lang ng recruitment ng "we will get in touch with you" pero wala naman talagang tatawag if you got the job. at meron pa ako experience dati na after im done with the exam and waited for 2 hours sa lobby, sasabihin sayo ng recruiter na "we only accept online applicants sa post" and suggest to submit my resume online. total waste of time

    Basis ng mga iba kilala ko nag call center ngayon is to off set their expenses to their salary. Kung kaunti lang lamang ng isang center let's say by 3k lamang ni call center A kay call center B pero very convenient naman location ni call center B sa place nila then no brainer. It will all boil down to kung ok ang feedback about the company, kung may annual appraisal, etc.

    Our tax rate is the 2nd highest in Asia only to be beaten by Singapore. If were going to compare to tax versus inflation eh talong talo tayo. Our taxes are too high versus our pesos spending power. Dami ko kilala mga expat na nanghina ang loob nung nagtrabaho sila dito.

    sana mabago nga nila before the year ends, talo talaga sa tax, ibabalik din naman sa gobyerno yung mawawala sa kanila dahil lalaki ang purchasing power ng tao. kelan pa kaya magkakaroon ng boses ang call center sa kongreso

    Muntik na itong mangyari last elections. Kaso sa pagpili pa lang ng representative, nagkanya-kanya na ang mga members kasi lahat gusto. To think most of them are managers from different centers. I think meron pang FB page ito until today pero wala na yung drive to pursue.
  • Malabo mangyari. Sa mga iba contracts nga na nabasa ko sa mga call center naka state doon na BAWAL mag form ang union ang mga call center agents. WTF?! Sa labor law nga ine-encourage ang mga employees to create a union para may pang laban. Parang baliktad nga eh kasi mga employees bawal pero yung mga owners at management pwede, may CCAP sila.

    May hearing pala ako pinapa sit in mamaya 10am. Tidnan ko kung sino call center naman ito.

    Very true indeed. A few years back a friend of mine applied at IBM in Technohub malakas ang confidence ng friend ko kasi naka 2 cc palang siya and lasted 3+ yrs each. Nung dumating na JO sa kanya aba 13k lang inoffer at sabi daw sa kanya ng recruitment na wag daw mag compare ng salaries. Yung lumabas na yung batch nila nag JO for lunch ayun nagpakitaan sila, aba yung magandang babae na zero experience pa ang nabigyan ng 22k basic for the same account. Na type ata ng manager na nag ops interview sa kanya. Haha, bad trip diba.

Usuall confidential yan pero dahil sa word of mouth ng kapwa mo applicant di maiiwasang malaman at mapagkumpara. Pero yung payagan pang ilabas yung mismong JO document that's i dont know what to say....parang run of the mill callcenter lang kahit pa sikat sila.
  • A bunch of centers do that. During orientation pa nga since wala pa designated lockers ang mga tao and they're not allowed to leave anything inside then no choice karaga nila yung JO kasama yung mga pre-employment requirements.

    Pag applicant palang na naka pasa bibigyan ng JO pero ipapa break muna sila dahil marami pa iba applicants kailangan asikasuhin.

    Funny thing about sa call centers, their documents like their contracts are deemed "confidential" so having said that then why are they asking for payslips sa previous companies and even a copy of the contract? Yeah may ganun. Ang alam ko may disclosure agreement ka with your previous employer not to divulge any information regardless of your previous company of employment and your duration there. Any other info like your salary, payslip, account and even the reason why you left is deemed confidential and remains only with your previous company. I've seen a lot of complainants entering SENA because of unjust termination sabay pag nag background check ayun pala ang kinakalat na info sa future employers. Very subjective kasi ang termination lalo na sa mundo ng call center. According sa call center terminated ka pero pagdating na sa labor court eh tumatagilid na sila call center at nagpapa settlement nalang.

    I was provided a copy of my JO when I applied sa IBM (now CNX). Naiuwi ko ito, ang sabi nga ng recruiter: "Talk it over with your wife, etc". Also, nung nagpunta ako sa Aventus dati for a check-up, may nakasabay ako na mga new hires for HSBC. Dala din nila yung papers nila. Nakita ko pa nga yung sweldo nung katabi ko. Buklat kase ng buklat. They were there for the medical exams, I presume.
