because

15 exclusives, 8 of them are new IPs. Gosh, I hope they're not all shooters or Kinect family games. Let's all wait for E3 for the proper game announcements :)

we'll just have to wait for the console to get released. wag naman sana magkaroon ng activation code yung games.. tapos may xbox live gold subscription fee pa. tengene.

I'm not a fanboy kasi nagkaroon ako ng both current consoles.
Kinect 2.0 is awesome pero sino mag be-benefit dito? And about the used games yung talaga ang pinaka ayaw ko. I need to pay for something para lang makalaro ng 2nd hand games?

RE: Live
RE: Kinect
Gusto ko yung gestures and voice. Parang Minority Report.
All the connected features are US-centric though, but that's not really any different from current gen.
Pinaka-importante sa akin yung new IPs, yun talaga lamang ng PS brand e. I'm just not that into Halo or Gears anymore. Forza is still win though.

feeling ko bibilhin parin ata namin tong xbox one, since fan sya ng dance central and kinect adventures(mga bata), nakakalungkot lang isipin na di ka pwede yung 2nd hand games or kailangan mo sya bayaran, kaya mas maganda pa yung ps4. tyaka built in yung kinect, di sya pwede tangalin, gusto ko pa naman tinatangal yun, minsan kasi nakakalimutan pag napapadaan at nagpapalit ng damit(sa rental apartment, kwarto lang kasi). mahirap na

i'm disappointed with the reveal. here are my rants:
- they've improved on everything, even the controller (the 360 controller is my fave this gen). that's not my rant obviously. what is is they're bringing nothing new to the table. of course the console would be more powerful in terms of processing/graphical power. all they presented was how it was better than the 360 in terms of multimedia functions.
- quantum break was just about the only exclusive new IP of interest announced at the reveal imo. they had months to prepare for this after sony showed their cards and i was disappointed that the closer for the show was the premiere of cod ghosts, a multiplatform title. they did promise 15 exclusives, 8 of them new IPs, for the first year. they better bring out the big guns at e3 next month. i'm sure they will.
it all felt like they're not trying to sell us a console. the big announcements for content partnerships with nfl, spielberg being involved with the halo series all made it seem like theyre competing with cable/satellite providers.
but then again, it's because i expected more game announcements. we still have e3 to look forward to. and even if it looks like our vcrs/vhs/betamax players of yore, i thought the console looked great. like that slab of monolith from 2001: a space odyssey. it's a brave and modern design imo.

Does it require an internet connection?
YES. Xbox One will need to connect to the internet frequently in order to let you play games, watch TV or do anything else. According to Microsoft's Phill Harrison it will need to do so approximately every 24 hours at least, more frequently for games and services that rely more heavily on the cloud. If you are somewhere without any Internet connection at all, such as a military base, you will NOT be able to use Xbox One.
It is reasonable to infer from this, and the other information Microsoft has provided regarding game-sharing, that Xbox One will need to connect to the Internet to authenticate you as well as connect to the Cloud. Games appear to be tied to your Xbox Live account, so without connecting to the Internet the Xbox One won't be able to verify that you own them.
According to MS pag hindi ka nakapag connect sa internet within 24hrs hindi mo magagamit xbox mo.
Can I play my friend's games on my console?
NO, not unless you're signed in as them. Otherwise you will have to pay, full-price, to access that game. The clearest stance on this comes from Eurogamer's interview with Harrison: "I can come to your house and I can put the disc into your machine and I can sign in as me and we can play the game. The bits are on your hard drive. At the end of the play session, when I take my disc home - or even if I leave it with you - if you want to continue to play that game [on your profile] then you have to pay for it. The bits are already on your hard drive, so it's just a question of going to our [online] store and buying the game, and then it's instantly available to play. The bits that are on the disc, I can give to anybody else, but if we both want to play it at the same time, we both have to own it. That's no different to how discs operate today."
Microsoft's Major Nelson (Larry Hyrb) put it this way: "Should you choose to play your game at your friend’s house, there is no fee to play that game while you are signed in to your profile." But then if you go home and leave the disc with your friend, they will have to pay for that game if they want to play it on their own profile.
Confirmed according to MS na 1 is to 1 ang games mo sa xbox profile mo. So kung 2nd hand games lalaruin mo you have to pay something. This is the saddest part for me.

No comment on used games. I don't ever buy used games but I sympathize with the sentiments of those who do. Once a day connection, huh? Well, it looks like I'm going Sony only next gen.
There's this thing on Wired though:
Wired: I’ve heard that if your Xbox One does not connect with Xbox Live at least once a day, the machine becomes inoperable and you’re not able to play any of the games that you’ve paid for. Is that true?
Harrison: I don’t think that’s what was said. Let me try and clarify what is happening.
So, there is a lot of anxiety about “what if my Internet connection goes down” and you don’t have connectivity for a period of time. There are a host of features which will be usable without an Internet connection — watching movies, playing certain single player games… all of which will operate offline. We expect most of the more advanced experiences, like online multiplayer games, or games which have a lot of connected features… those games won’t operate if you don’t have an Internet connection. We designed the system to take advantage of a connection to the cloud, and all that that means. But no, it’s not required that you are connected all the time, every second of every day.
There is some technology about how often, or how frequently the device has to ‘ping’, but that has not been… we have not talked publicly about that yet, but it will be very user-friendly.

But still, the idea itself is... Kahit once a month mandatory connection parang nakakairita pa rin. Maybe that's just me.
