Microsoft license question

  • good day to all, magtatanong lang po kung pwede gamitin ung COA na nabili ng client ko sa IBM Netvista CPU nya from US? Pwede po ba yun i-register and have it validated sa Microsoft? The CPU came from a certain company in US who upgraded their PCs. My client imported them at planong gamitin ng client sa Internet Cafe, pls advice mga sir....
  • we Microsoft licenses work the same all over the world, as far as I know anyways. Is the key registered already? Does the license support multiple computer. That\'s probably a volume license key. It\'s meant to be installed OEM, therefore, you might have problems registering it from Microsoft using different specs.

Never hurts to try, if your client is a student or has kids that are highschool or college, they might be able to avail and educational price which is considerably less than retail

i believe the licenses have been all registered as they came from a company in US. Magagalit si Bill...

so possible prin po kaya na magamit for another purpose or a new line of business ung license after having registered once?

    pls advice sir..
  • Yes, you can use your licensed software anywhere in the world. OEM yan so he should use the same CPU where it was bundled. otherwise, the license is voided. (the OEM license is tied to the MOBO) so you can replace/upgrade ALL the parts except the mobo.
  • up ko lang po for more advise, thx....

  • You can buy legit OS in Gilmore, kasi yung BSA, OMB and NBI are just looking for the CoA and the OR on where did you buy it.

Or you can try call Millennium Computer Technology.

Hope this serves you well. ^^
  • OEM is married to the hardware

My friend is selling his unused OEM product (Win 7 Starter) sa akin at mali raw ang binili niyang product. He thought that it is the full package of Windows 7 but it is not.

Ngayon, gusto kong kunin ang product the problem is hindi kasama ang receipt. The package is still sealed and unused but the question is... IS IT ALLOWED?

Since the OS is not yet used on the product and it is not registered yet, pwede ba itong gamitin o ibenta pa sa iba? (newly purchased PC such as laptops without O/S)

Please if you can provide a direct answer, the better. Thanks!

ncludes the 2010 editions of Microsoft Word, Excel, Powerpoint, One Note and Outlook. A full-package product DVD - 1 user for 2 PCs** **Licensed for installation on one PC and on the licensed user’s portable device.

Legal ba yon?
  • up ko lang. Sana may makasagot sa tanong ko. TIA
  • oo legal yan as long as maximum of 2 lang ang pwede install nyan mapa bahay o sa office

business ed - upto 2pc on the same company/opisina (sa office lang)

Iba iba ang taong gumagamit o users nyan. Tapos meron 10 laptop iba iba't ibang tao rin ang user pero under sila ng same company.

  • if it is an OEM license and the COA is tagged \"IBM Corporation\" then valid yan for the rest of the life of the computer.

once the PC is deemed unserviceable that\'s the time na void na yung OEM license na yan.

important is you have the COA attached to the CPU itself, debatable yung physical media kasi recovery / restore discs lang ang kasama ng mga PC na yan.
