Unified Karaoke Thread

We can discuss here any type/brand of karaoke players (cd or dvd or hdd, midi or mp3).
Dun sa mga may queries on Hyundai and Karavision may look up on the following links,
    Hyundai <click here for link>,
    Karavision <click here for link>.
  • Umpisahan ko na.

Yesterday I bought a Promac CaraMate 100U Midi DVD Player. I was supposed to get the cantana kasi yun ang madalas kong makitang Promac midi player sa mga thread. But i chose to get the Caramate because the included midi-dvd is v010 (the Cantana's midi-dvd is v009 only). Tsaka yung Caramate may usb port and separate yung volume knob ng mic1 and mic2.
During testing at the appliance center yesterday, the mic input went loose and went inside the player (bago yung player kasi naka plastic pa nung buksan sa harapan ko and sealed yung plastic). So they get a new one. The testing was ok naman although parang mahina yung mic. So i purchased a Philips mic.

When i got home, nisetup ko agad syempre. Tapos kantahan na. I tweaked all settings pero mejo bitin talaga yung volume ng mic. After 2-hours of break-in, nahugot yung isang mic (likot kasi nung bunso ko e). When we reinserted the mic on the Caramate, lumusot yung mic input sa loob (same as what happened during the demo at the appliance center). So nipack-up ko yung set.

This morning i went back to the appliance center to return the Caramate. Sabi nila get na lang daw ako ng iba kasi wala na daw silang stock (thank god coz i dont want the Caramate anymore). Yung Cantana ang kinuha ko. I was asking the sales lady if i can swap the songbook and midi-dvd of the Caramate with the Cantana, di pumayag. The demo went ok naman.

At home, setup ko agad. Oks na oks yung Cantana compared to Caramate. Tsaka parang mas buo yung tunog at mas malakas.

Kanta ulit ako mamya after my nap.

Im glad that ended up with the Cantana. Wag lang bibigay yung mic input and i will be happy with it.

Wala kasi akong makitang Hyundai karaoke player.
What i like most about this player is that the songs may be updated by downloading the song files from Kumyoung's website then upload to the player via CF card. There are more or less 25 new songs monthly.
Based on other thread in other website, this Vivaus Pro costs around P14.5k at raon and P19k in some appliance center.
The only cons i can see with this player is that there are no mic input, your sound system must have a mic input.
  • Here's the pricelist I posted from the plardin thread

    1. Plardin VX 800 (black) or 900 (silver) - 3000.00
    2. Platinum TJ40 - 5200.00 (SD7000 - 5500.00) (SD7000 is slimmer)
    3. Platinum TJ10/20 (with camera and game function) - 7000.00
    4. MP Megapro 200 silver - 5600.00 (Megapro 300 - is gold)
    5. Hyundai 98pro-i - 6000 (pro-n - 9000.00) (I'm not sure about sa difference)
    6. Pensonic/Arirang Pro 200 - 2600.00
