Hi first post in this thread, I'm doing some laminate work on a computer table based on a 1.5" plywood and am thinking of putting curved t-moulding for the front edge so my arms won't get pinched.
Can anybody refer a store which sells slot router bits for t-moulding, preferably for 1/4" collet and carbide tipped? Currently in makati so nearby stores is a plus. thanks.
I've backread some and saw references to Panda construction supply for the EZ cut bits but could not confirm if they have one for slots and neither was i able to get where it was located.

@timber
Thanks for the reply, I'm looking for something like this:

for placing t-moulding similar to this:

I haven't bought the t-moulding yet,but I saw them in Unisia at EDSA Evangelista though it may differ slightly in the actual dimensions, so I'm sensing what bits are available first before I proceed, otherwise, I'll have to settle for flat edging.

@smoothtalker -
it's easy when you have a flush router bit. Just place rugby on MDF/Plywood, and then an oversized formica. Remove the extra formica by running the router on the edges with the flush router bit and you're done.

so you need a slotting bit, those should be readily available locally. EZcut should have them in stock depending on the size you need, otherwise, Mayon carries Makita brand router bits and have them as well...

macber2,
yes sir ako rin yun, personally I would not suggest to invest on buying tools to make your own furniture unless you are inclined on this craft. the tool cost greatly outweighs the cost of furniture and the result may not even satisfy you.
what I suggest is to borrow tools or buy them and try your hand at it. you can start making simple things until you find out if you want to pursue or not. having good tools is great, but it isn't for everyone. and learning how to use them means you will be spending on materials just to practice (which relates to more expenditure). don't get me wrong, I would encourage everyone to get good tools, just not forgo furniture for them.

Sir,
Any recommended blade for cutting bi-laminated panel like 18mm thick MDF Board?
I tried Bosch Optiline 60T & Makita 60T, good for cutting up to 10 panels 4" x 8", but after that mapurol na yun blade, nachichip-off na yun side. Freud has a good review but this one cost a lot.

well bryant, there are Freud blades designed for MDF and melamine cutting. I suggest you get them if you intend to do lots of cuts with this materials. what I told Dom at the other site is to score the top surface if you are using a cs, by running the cs with the blade slightly touching the top or melamine surface and scoring it (this will reduce if not eliminate chip-out or tears on the top surface) which is generally the chip side when using a cs.

there are hard water stain removers available at Ace or True Value, I use a pumice stone that was given by my sil (sister-in-law) from the US and it works just fine. just be ready with some elbow grease as most I have come across aren't as efficient as I hoped they would be.
