Mga gurus.. in dynagen dynamips..
di ko mapagana yung frame relay sample give.
I got this config
# A Simple frame relay lab
autostart = False
[localhost]
[[7200]]
image = e:\Program Files\Dynamips\images\c7200-ik9o3s-mz[1].124-12c.bin
npe = npe-400
ram = 160
idlepc = 0x60897964
[[ROUTER R1]]
s1/0 = F1 1
s1/1 = R5 s1/1
model = 7200
[[ROUTER R2]]
s1/0 = F1 2
model = 7200
[[ROUTER R3]]
s1/0 = F1 3
s1/1 = R4 s1/1
model = 7200
idlepc = 0x60897964
[[ROUTER R4]]
model = 7200
[[FRSW F1]]
1:102 = 2:201
1:103 = 3:301
2:203 = 3:302
[[ROUTER R5]]
model = 7200
my routers in a frame.. is not working for the reason that it has no timing clock recieved from the framce switch ( F1 )..
si F1 naman is unconsolable? dahil wala siyang port assigned.
Or..
it should be redesigned and put a L2/L3 device in replacement to F1? kanya nga lang gagawa ka pa ng frame routing sa config na ganun?
should you have already tried this,, please share naman po.
Thanks

@zerglings
master zerglings if you mind if i can ask, before you start kung meron kang time master,, kasi you seem to be very familiar with frame relay networking? I got this very simple wonderings..
suppose i got this on DYNAGEN or in a real router kasi marami ka router di ba sir sa bahay or sa work.
R1(DTE) <-------------> FR(DCE) <--------------->R2(DTE)
mag-coconfigure ka narin master ng FR.. i was wondering what would be the ID or interface? I am going to use on my FR going to R1 and R2?
supposed you are in a LAB or using your dynagen dynamips
Am I going to put an IP address into it or should i use the DLCI routing?
Dapat ba yung FR interface ko ka-subnet ng DTE router ko?
kasi master, di mo ma-eemulate yan kung wala yung mga specifics di ba master?

nope.... not yet... i can be CCNP if i want to but i am taking my time to understand it.. i don't want to be paper certified.. :)
Thanks for the try zerlings,, i guess my question is not intended for you...
forum is open for everyone to answer your question... i wanted to try your lab so i know what is going on...

i have 3 2500s and two 800 series routers (871 and 871W) but i haven't been using them... at work, we have more than 6100 routers...
here's a sample configuration if you want to use a router as a Frame switch....
hostname FRAME_SWITCH
!
!
ip subnet-zero
no ip domain-lookup
frame-relay switching
!
!
!
interface Ethernet0
no ip address
no ip directed-broadcast
shutdown
!
interface Serial0
no ip address
interface Serial1
no ip address
no ip directed-broadcast
encapsulation frame-relay
logging event subif-link-status
logging event dlci-status-change
clockrate 56000
no frame-relay inverse-arp
frame-relay intf-type dce
frame-relay route 122 interface Serial2 221
frame-relay route 123 interface Serial3 321
!
interface Serial2
no ip address
no ip directed-broadcast
encapsulation frame-relay
logging event subif-link-status
logging event dlci-status-change
clockrate 56000
no frame-relay inverse-arp
frame-relay intf-type dce
frame-relay route 221 interface Serial1 122
interface Serial3
no ip address
no ip directed-broadcast
encapsulation frame-relay
logging event subif-link-status
logging event dlci-status-change
clockrate 56000
no frame-relay inverse-arp
frame-relay intf-type dce
frame-relay route 321 interface Serial1 123
the bold letters are the ones that you're going to add in to your router that will be acting like a frame switch... so to answer your question, no you don't need to put an ip address to frame switch.. the ip address will be in the routers that you'll be using...
sorry, i didn't have the time to try your lab with my dynagen today.. i had to buy winter jacket since it is about to snow here in IL... and i had to pick my friend up from the airport... hopefully, i'll be able to try your lab tomorrow... goodluck...

sa mga guru ng dynagen..
mas maganda bang gawin yung idlepc pag ang mga routers eh nasa
Router con0 is now available
Press RETURN to get started.
???

Can somebody help me find resouces kung paano makokonect ang gns3 to a VM using virtual box? I tried google but pang unix host ung details. Can someone help kung paano ko macoconect? I want to try TFTP and dchp relay
