Training Outline
1st day: Installing Linux (laptop/desktop/server concerns etc.)
a) Linux and other OSs'. History and Philosophy of Linux.
b) Ubuntu Linux Installation (Desktop hardware concerns et al.)
b-1) Demo of a full install here.
c) Design hard disk layout(i.e. partitioning and the filesystem)
d) Install a simple MBR
e) Using Ubuntu Software Center and apt-get for package management.
f) The basics of a text or graphical systems: The Desktop
f-1) The X windows system
g) Using Ubuntu as your first Linux Desktop.
2nd day: Ubuntu Linux basics (logon and environmental concerns, shell configuration control,I/O redirection etc.)
a) Logging and Logging out and Shells (users and root: the basics of accounts)
b) Running Commands and Getting Help
c) Work on the command line
d) Perform basic file management
e) Use streams, pipes,links and redirects
f) Create, monitor, and kill processes
g) Search text files using regular expressions(i.e. some tools for finding and searching on the command line)
h) Perform basic file editing operations using vi
i) Connectivity on Linux

Yes sir you can, your RHEL training is good enough to qualify for the next module. Kaso wala pa po tayo schedule, hopefully by april or may pa.

Hi Sir, You need to go through the pre-requisite course, mahihirapan po kayo pag wala talaga kayo alam sa networking fundamentals.

Hi Sir, You need to go through the pre-requisite course, mahihirapan po kayo pag wala talaga kayo alam sa networking fundamentals. eto po ang schedule ng Networking Essentials - Feb 18 to 21, 2013.
May background na po ako sa networking. Ok lang po ba kahit ndi ko na i-take yung Networking Fundaments/Essentials?

sa mga newbie or zero knowledge sa linux, i highly recommend to take this kind of training. magandang startup foundation to onto further discovering the potentials and power of using linux os...especially ubuntu! avid ubuntu fan din ako ehehehe. up for this!
